Yup. When stumped, call the other one ignorant.

There is no shame in being ignorant. There is shame in willingly remaining ignorant.

I don't believe I called you ignorant. I did suggest that you read Hessler's book as it is, IMHO, a good description of China today. This book gave me insights into today's China ... thus reducing my ignorance of China.

Hessler wrote two other excellent books on China; "River Town," and "Oracle Bones."

We all are ignorant in not knowing many things. But we can reduce that ignorance by reading and studying.

I assume you know that ignorant means not knowing because of a lack of information and/or knowledge on a particular field or subject.

I attribute many people's reaction to Biden's comment to an ignorance of the Chinese culture. Here the work ignorance is not an insult but simply realizing a lack of information or knowledge of that culture.

When living in China I felt as if I were in another world. The Chinese people and culture is fascinating. Their government leaves much to be desired IMHO. I was always very happy knowing I had a US passport in my pocket.

No, C.T.Boy. I asked a specific question that you cannot answer. For whatever reason. Giving me a reading assignment won't do it. You need to put this in your own words, else I assume you have NO words.

Ignorance of the Chinese culture ? What an absolute joke.

Back on my ignore list you go.
