I would have to agree except I would change "is" to "are".

In the name of cultural diversity immigration laws were changed to allow people into this country who have no intention of assimilating into the American culture. This is particularly true of recent immigrants from Mexico and all from Islamic countries.

Islam is slowly destroying Europe. Today in England Mohammedans were demonstrating against English troops who had fought in Iraq or Afghanistan. The Chief Justice in England has spoken favorably of allowing Sharia law among English Mohammedans.

 

All from Islamic countries? So you assert that every immigrant from an islamic country has "no intention of assimilating into the American culture"? How very close minded of you.

I've personally met several immigrants from Islamic countries that have assimilated very well. In fact, I went to church with a couple of them!

 

If you had read that statement in context you would have recognized that I was speaking of Mohammedans. You are apparently talking about Christians.

 

If that was your intent, it was unclear to me. You painted with a broad brush and said "all from Islamic countries" that were imigrating to the US had no intention of assimilation. The next paragraph is were you talked about Mohammedans and you were talking about them in England.

I'm also not just talking about Christians. Sorry, but I believe that people of other religions can come to this country and assimilate themselves.

I do agree, however, that there are many people who do come to this country and refuse to assimilate. That's a bad thing. I'm a child of an immigrant. My mother came to this country and learned English and learned the American way. That's the way things should be.

 

You are still entitled to express your opinion in this country. Enjoy while you can. I can also still express my opinion. I believe that followers of Mohammed have only one purpose in the world, Islam, that is, submission.

I am afraid we have hijacked this thread!

 

For those who may doubt the goals of the Islamic religion, I suggest that they read the history of that religion. Historically, when they, the followers of Mohamed, gained control of a country, the citizens of that country were forced to accept that religion or die. The same holds today in many countries ruled by followers of Islam. Their citizens must follow the rigid teachings of Mohamed. To do otherwise can mean their death.

Our government has failed in its primary duty to protect the people from all enemies, foreign and domestic. So, yes our government is stupid, and worse the citizens who continue to elect these people are to blame.

 

I guess this is directed at me since no else on this thread has posted regarding this.

I don't doubt the goal of radical Islam. Radical Islam is a minority of those that claim to follow Islam however. Don't get me wrong, all of them are going to hell, but I'm not worried about my safety when it comes to the vast majority of Muslims. If you are, then I'd call you paranoid.

How has our government failed to protect us from Islam within our borders (I guess that this is what you are saying). I don't see our country under Islamic law now or anytime in the future. Do you really believe that we are under threat of going under Islamic law? Is our country going to be invaded and forcefully taken over for this to happen? Or will all the states of our union get together and vote to do away with the Constitution and put Islamic law in its place? Please do explain.

Yes I worry about a muslim takeover. No, I am not paranoid. As far as "Radical Islam is a minority..." dream on. All Islam is radical. Look around the world. The muslims are making great inroads in England, France, and most of the rest of Europe. In this country, they have already gained significant accommodations, particularly in Minnesota where they have been granted privileges no one else has. No, I am noit going to list them. Since you are so sure they are "peace loving" you look up the record. You look at the countries where Christians are martyred for their beliefsw. Before you call someone paranoid, check your own gullibility and willingness to ignore the truth. :tear:

In the mean time Queen Pelosi is slamming the Immigration Service for enforcing the law.

 

If I was a legal alien who took the time to go through the process of becoming an American citizen, I would be extremely outraged at her comments. She calls a group of law breakers patriotic.

If I could turn time back to when that meeting took place & be in her place during that time. I would have said, " I'm glad you decided to come here today. You are helping us do our job, because you all are under arrest."

 

Pelosi doesn't care about America or how anyone acheives citizenship. She only cares about getting more voters, and politically prostituting herself to them.

Sure, why not? After all, the government has given away everything else that we have to these people. Why not just declare Mexico as a state? Oh, wait... then they would have to pay taxes. [/sarcasm]

Honestly, there are times, like now, I would love to round up each and every Democrat and liberal and herd them into an abandoned mine and then seal it up with a ton of TNT. Shooting would be too good for them and the waste of a perfectly good bullet.

I have no problem with anyone, ANYONE, coming tot he US LEGALLY. And I don't have a problem with these immigrants having the same opportunities as I do. But that's not the way it works. I am without a job and can't even buyone, but if I had snuck across the border I could have SS, food stamps, free education, and never have to lift a finger for it. Plus all the babies I could pop out are US citizens, and I wouldn't have to pay a dime for the hospital bill or any other medical costs.

Something about that is just screwed up.

 

This is a bad idea. I hope the California legislature votes it down.
