I absolutely agree. But I also don't think that God's intent is that the CHURCH essentially be working against Him. There's just so many different things in THAT which could be a stumbling block.

And that is what I'm ultimately talking about. It's as though we've forgotten that CHRIST has to be first and that we shouldn't be doing anything that could make it more difficult for folks to receive His truth.

I thinks it's akin to drinking somewhat. Although there is no Biblical prohibition from drinking, doing so, even if not to the point of getting drunk, could cause someone to think that you do get drunk if they see you drinking.

I just think that we really need to be careful in what we're doing and co-signing with in this season especially when our decisions directly influence people's eternity. Our witness for Christ needs to be a witness for Him and not for our own desires.

And you keep asking questions that have nothing to do with the topic at hand but about ME. Why is that?

    As I've said, motive matters.

Uh, maybe because if you are not a Baptist, then you should not be posting on Baptist only threads. Duh. Sorry for butting in, but are you a Baptist? TIA

He will not admit it but Dr. Bob says that his profile (which is not public) confirms that he is Baptist. Why he won't answer the direct question himself is suspect.

And maybe if the question was publicly being asked of individual after individual, I could see your point.

    It's been addressed.

No more suspect than your motives for feeling you deserve an answer or even have a right to ask the question.

But myself included, I'll ask that we focus on the TOPIC and not my denominational affiliation.

Wow. Getting someone else to confirm you SAY you are a Baptist. That is real reassuring. Did you get your mama to walk you to your classes in high school as well?

I agree, it does seem quirky.

C'mon Blackbird...close this thread! It's about as useful as the debates have been. Argumentative, patronizing, insulting, and no one knows what the truth about any matter really is.

I will just vote my consience and trust God with our nation's well-being.

Maybe I sound rude at times, especially after assuming the best intentions about someone, then it becomes apparant they they are using Scripture, the Billy Graham ministry, the Bible, the church, and in a odd sort of way, even the Mormon Church to promote a liberal, left wing, socialist Obama type agenda. Say what you will about Crabby, he is upfront about his beliefs.

What is so sickening about it is that Billy Graham has done more for the cause of Christ in one crusade than some clowns on this board have done in their entire lives. Clowns is the nice term.

Say it as much as you like, it won't make it true. ANd even it was, it has nothing to do with this topic.

What is so sickening is that you dare imply that exposing the wrong should just be overlooked just because BG is looked upon so highly.

Sounds like the reasoning the Catholics used with those priests who were molesting young boys.

BG hasn't done anything that makes it right for him to do what he did. NOTHING!

The post is on topic, and I never once used your name, you did. You seem to have difficulty with the English language.

Yes continue to play your little games. Everyone on here knows that you were talking about me as you have made the same sentiment clear in multiple threads. So give it a rest. And deal with the topic.

Billy Graham could have personally played a part in every person in the United States coming to faith in Christ and it wouldn't excuse what he did anymore than King David, a man after God's own heart, was excused in his adultery.

I would say they would have at least as much influence on the unsaved as oh, say, a Mormon President might, or a Catholic President did.
