Regardless of one's opinion on Obama, the "Obama's not really a citizen" folks are nothing short of tinfoil-hat quacks who are either idiots, or ignorant by choice. Mature and discerning Christians would do well to disassociate themselves from such persons in the same manner that one should disassociate oneself from members of Westboro Baptist Church.

The law for choosing the president as interpreted by the courts again and again and again and again and again.

Congress acknowledged his qualifications. The courts have rule again and again and again and again and again.

It is time to recognise the jurisdiction of the courts.

This refusal of patriotic Americans to acknowledge the court system is worrying.

    From the article:

Really was it worrying when the courts supported slavery? Is it worrying that the courts support the slaughter of millions of unborn children every year? I do not know if he is or is not legitimate. But his failure to present the long form BC is questionable as is his more than one million dollars spent to keep him from doing so.

These court decisions have nothing to do with Bibilcal or moral right or wrong.

They have to do with a tiny segment of American society who refuse to accept the will of the people, the legal recognition of Congress, and the repeated rulings of the US courts, and who, apparently have no problem using perjury to achieve their goals. .

Actually, my question was rhetorical. I knew the answer.

Your demonization of people who have reasonable questions about this matter does not make you look intelligent even though you would like to believe it does. And it certainly reveals your lack of objectivity. But it does make you look petty and childish.

Barack Obama will not be removed from office based on this birth certificate issue. The energy spent on this would be much, much better spent trying to elect truly limited government advocates to office in 2010 and 2012 and in promoting limited government alternatives to the bad ideas of the current occupants of public office in Washington, D.C., the various statehouses, and the cities.

The listing of Obama's father as African American (instead of Negro, the phrase used in the '60's) is reason enough for me to question the validity of his BC. I think the ignorant ones here are the ones who fail to look at all of the facts involved and just dismiss this claim.

BTW, I have many hats...but none are made of tinfoil :)

But his mother was a natural born US citizen ... thus he is a citizen. Clear and simple.

Just like a fellow I worked with. He was a natural born US citizen. His wife was French. Their daughter, born here, was and is a natural born citizen. If she had not been considered such she could not have worked where she did as citizenship was an absolute requirement as it was a secured facility.

The 'birthers' are wasting time and money and looking very foolish.

Given the countless times the "Obama's not really a citizen" folks filed cases and had them tossed for lack of any merit whatsoever, pettiness and childishness are traits belonging to them, and not their critics.

I have never said that BO is NOT a US citizen, but I would like to know what he is hiding?

Also, why does he give so little to charity - he must be on a tight budget?

For him and his ilk to deny seeing the actual BC, tells me that it may fer sure be in order as far as legally being the required citizen, BUT, there must be something else is on there that he and the left do not want the remainder of the nation to see? HMMMMMM????? (Incidentally, the fact of "citizenship" was the ONLY factor for the USSC to consider, so I'm ceding that point with little resistance.)

Maybe nothing, but there sure is a lot of effort & money spent to make sure that IT'S NOT SEEN. Why????

If being extremely skeptical of a character like this makes me a "conspirtist", then so be it!

I still would like to see the actual document, not what some state official tells me it says! I would think any concerned citizen would at this point, after seeing how he operates.

How many presidential birth certificates have posters here seen?

The only one I have seen is President Obama's.

I am pretty sure ut just said African. I am not sure of the norms for that listing in Hawaii in 1960.

Being a big supporter of state's right I am happy to accept the ruling by the State of Hawaii.

I would think that any concerned citizen would let this lay aside and focus their attention on defeating this current administration.

It says "Mother's race: Caucasian; Father's Race: African". What I really want to know is how birther pundits explain Obama's birth announcement that appeared in two of Honolulu's newspapers in August of 1961.

African is not a race, and it was not the verbiage used in the '60's.

It is also not the 'African-American' that you claimed was there.

I would find it hard to determine that every official in every state in the Union used the exact same term for blacks in 1960. Do you have evidence that 'African' was not used in State of Hawaii except in this instance?

I'll concede that I used African "American", but semantics aside African is not a race, period. To use that on an official document would not have happened. I do have evidence that Negro was used on a Hawaii BC in the '60's, it has been posted here before. We are not talking of "every state of the union", we are talking about Obama's Hawaii BC, and I doubt any state would use or would have used "African", as it is NOT a race.
