Blackberry

I need some good input on the blackberry or other type moble email machines like it. Are there better machines? Is T-moble the only service provider? Does it word well? I know of 2 models, are there more? Would it be better just to make my laptop work as a moble mail machine?

I use a SprintPCS Connection Card from Sierra Wireless in my laptop. It lets me get on the net at faster-than-dialup speeds anywhere there is Sprint service. In urban areas (especialy in Silicon Valley) I get the broadband connection rate which rivals my home DSL rates.
