Blasphemy Challenge

    How sick and how sad! This video will make you cringe and make your heart ache. We must boycott this movie!!!

    These kids, and some very young, were verbally denouncing the Holy Spirit and Almighty God. Many of these children are old enough to decipher between right and wrong while some are still only babies. I could not believe that an adult would lead these children into the paths of such destruction.

    Through our prison ministry, I correspond with more than 70 inmates who have messed up their life with crime, but they have found forgiveness through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. They have hopes of one day returning to a free and normal society, living for Jesus, and winning others to Christ.

    These kids, the ones that absolutely understand what they are doing and have obviously reached the age of accountability, they have no hope. They have blasphemed the Holy Spirit. I know that I am naïve in many areas, but I find it inconceivable that we as Christians have remained quiet enough in our witness to allow such a thing to occur, and to our young people at that! Many will pay the ultimate sacrifice for our silence. I for one am so ashamed that I have failed my Lord in such a way.

    I praise God that my children have accepted and know Jesus as their personal Lord and Saviour. As many of us are guilty of the same, they may not lead the Christian life they should or live for Him as faithfully as He would have them to live, but, they have never blasphemed. As I sat and listened to the horrendous proclamations by these young people, my heart did not only break for them and the loss of their eternal soul, but for the families of these children. I can’t imagine the broken hearts of their parents as they listen to their child’s open and verbal rebellion of God’s Holy Spirit.

    We can’t reach all of the young people in the world; we can’t even reach all the young people in our churches, but we can try. We can make a difference if it is only with just one soul. I feel that if someone had reached out to these young people in time, their life would be different, and again we are the guilty parties. I trust you will take the time to listen and watch these short videos. They really opened my eyes to the danger that is lurking around every corner to lure our children into a devil’s hell for all eternity. But because Jesus lives… there is hope!

    blasphemy against the holy spirt...

    The pharashees attributed jesus miracles which was done through holy spirt to satan. Instead of Believing he was God and that the mircicles was done through God. Not to say that cursing the holy spirit or Jesus is not a sin, it certanly is but is not the unforgivable sin. Today the blasphemy of the holy spirt is defined as delebritly dening Gods power in Christ. Thank God we as believers dont have to worry bout this sin or any other sin since were saved by JESUS! :D
    ps: I didnt want to watch the video insulting God...

    Praise God there is hope through Jesus Christ. This is shocking thought. Made my heart sink -- especially the second one. The message wasn't any different. It was just so much more in your face.

    be careful with some of the videos on youtube. They have some very filthy language.
    The news report is clean enough.

    I emailed my congregation about a month ago when I first heard about this, and gave them some of the clean links.

    We have had our heads in the sand long enough... Let's get busy...

    I say plant the fear of hell fire, along with the foolishness of rejecting knowledge :

    (Pro 1:22) How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge?

    (Pro 1:26) I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh;

    (Pro 1:27) When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you.

    (Pro 1:28) Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me:

    (Pro 1:29) For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD:

    And then tell them if they are worried in the least about the possibility of hell existing they probably hadn’t committed blasphemy of the Holy Spirit anyway. At least a seed has been thrown.

    Seems you never hear of any good hell fire preachin going on any more.

    Absolutely! We hid in the sand when Madelyn Murray O'Hare was around and look what happened.

    Today is the first time I've heard about this and it almost made me physically ill.

    Satan wants our kids!

    Yes the pond scum in Hadas wants our kids. Look at the stuff the kids are learning in school that is being called "tolerance." Yeah right. Tolernance my foot. Satan wants our kids brainwashed into believing godod is bad and bad is good:BangHead: :BangHead:

    Age of accountability???

    Keep in mind, the concept of blasphemy goes far beyond the spoken word and actually carries greater significance in the actions of life.

    Peter, I have wondered about that. Also what about intellectual accountability? I mean what about a ten year old who had the intellect of a two year old? James 3:1 comes to mind Let not many of you become teachers; knowing that we too shall receive a stricter judgment.

    Thanks for that link!

    AMA (American Family Association) is having a special on TV about it next week and they are known nationwide, so you can believe that they will garner a lot of support. PTL! The Christians are fighting back and that is a good thing!

    Well, I’ve got some mixed feelings about the whole thing.

    1) This atheist that started this thing in his hate is going to get a lot publicity and probably get a charge and negative support coming because of this notoriety.

    2) So in defense we will add to this notoriety, but on the other hand we as Christians should not hide our heads in the sand either, I am all for standing up against these evils, so it seems we are between a rock and a hard place on the issue.

    3) Further, I think if we give credit to what IMO is a false assumption that getting little children to repeat a saying of blasphemy would seal their fate we are impowering this clown, and I think his hopeful scheme needs to be discredited and addressed first and foremost as a lie.

    So, if people are going to make counter videos I hope they will be expressing these words often.

    I did not see any little children, on the two tapes, denying God. I saw only teenagers and adults.

    And the teens in the Counter Christian Video via the newscast are articulate and able to tell what they believe! Hallelujah!

    I agree with this statement whole heartedly.

    While I too am disturbed by the contents of the videos, I am certainly not shocked by them. Have we forgotten what lostness is, or what it leads to? I have no expectation that lost folks are going to think, behave, and talk like lost folks. I am often reminded that I looked no different in the eyes of God when I was emmersed in the muck and mire of my sin than these who produced and participated in the events in the videos.

    Certainly, there are behaviors offend our redeemed sensibilities but we should never be so offended that we forget what our purpose is... with humility, and a prayerful spirit intervene with the compassion of the Gospel.

    Remember, our enemies are not of this world (not people), but instead they are "principalities and powers" who are at war with God and His children.
