When you have nothing else worthy to believe in I guess this kind of nonsense is the next logical step in your devolution.

Continue to ignore the word of God without rebuke.

Tell me seriously AIC, do you really need a ceremony to bless your animals.....I should say, not yours but Gods creatures. At my home ....we run an animal rescue. I have 2 blind bulldogs & one very aged one. We have saved horses from slaughter, petitioned the government to stop sending them out of country to the killers....have countless homes for unwanted pets...yada yada. I pray for my animals & provide them love as I would my own children. I have backyard chickens & provide them homes, protection, food & my wife even takes 3 small hens indoors at night for protection & safety.

If it takes a church ceremony to bless them & it makes you feel good, then go for it. As for me... well God knows how I feel & they are his creations as well.

That is a personal attack, insult, and a lie.

Harsh words my friend. Think about this a moment ....have you ever had a pet? And if you ever did, did any ever treat you rudely? I think not!

Personally I like animals allot more than I like people....just saying.

Sometimes I'd like to find out. I said "sometimes" because my best friend, from childhood, is a fundamentalist Baptist and one of the best people I've ever known. Another thing: He would never say to me what some on here have.

And I commend you for what you are doing!!

It's not a question of needing a ceremony; it's a desire to have one because of the "rightness" of it.

And I have about come to that point also, over the years. This BB is a prime example of why.

I'm a fundy & the passage in Rev with Jesus Christ riding a white horse & His armies riding white horses is literal. (Rev 19:14)

Also, 2 Kings 2:11 Elijah went to heaven on a chariot and horses of fire.

So there are fiery horses and white horses in heaven and lots of white horses for the armies riding behind Jesus Christ.

    LITERALLY.

And I like the idea of blessing the animals because they bless us.

I didn't say it wasn't. In fact I made it clear that it was.

Cats in Heaven? :tonofbricks: And come to think of it the thought of spending eternity with that cur we called Bandit ain't too settling either. Dog tore up half the furniture, busted two second story windows because she want to sit on the porch roof.

That said, I believe we could make a stronger Biblical argument for celebrating Purim than blessing pets.

For those who support the "blessing the animals service", are there limitations on what animals can be blessed? Can a farmer bring a cow, hog or chicken? Is there a sanitary requirement?

Can a farmer have the animal blessing service in his barn so that all 30 of his cows can be blessed?
