It's becoming fairly clear that even some of the Obama-loving media think Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) went too far last week with unsubstantiated and unattributed allegations concerning presumptive Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney's taxes.

On CBS's Face the Nation Sunday, host Bob Schieffer asked, "Isn't this kind of like Joe McCarthy back in the era when he said, 'I have here in my hand the names of 400 people in the state department who are communist?'"

Frankly I believe that Schieffer was insulting McCarthy! Here it is 50+ years later and the libs are still dumping on McCarthy!:BangHead::smilewinkgrin::tonofbricks:

One group that has been silent about all this has been the White House. I thought Bernie Goldberg had a nice comment about that:

As an editorial in the Wall Street Journal put it: “But without any proof, Mr. Reid’s accusations are a smear from the fever swamps that say more about Mr. Reid’s ethics than they do about Mr. Romney’s taxes.”...
