My area of Louisiana is not airing it. The TV station said after the first viewing that it got too many letters requesting that the program not be aired again.

i think it did air in my part of Louisiana...but thankfully, yes, NBC has pulled this garbage off the air.
I'm sure it will be blamed on the "closed minded evangelical Christian right wing" that "destroys" everything else in this country.

I saw one episode to see what the hype was about. It wasn't that good anyway.

Where have you been? This has been discussed before. BTW, it's not a sitcom, it's more of a drama.

I actually stumbled upon the first eposide, and had never heard of the show before I saw it for the first time.

I actually found it a somewhat good show, and while it was somewhat unorthodox, it was not irreverent or mocking of Christ. That being said, I can certainly understand why portraying Christ in a more contemporary fashion would be a turn off to some hardcores. I myself watched part of another episode which qualified as a cure for insomnia.

While it wasn't disrespectful, it's wasn't edifying either. While it wasn't garbage, it wasn't quality either.

Now, aside from the show being somewhat good, it wasn't particularly great or memorable, or aside from the novelty, particularly interesting. I surmised that aside from a few core viewers, the show would be unlikely to generate any firm viewership. I didn't expect the show to last more than the first season. And it appears that when the network finishes airong the remaining episodes, it will not renew the show for a full season.

The one thing that was of interest was the "anti" hype that I found out was going on before this show even aired (which I didn't know about... I must have missed the memo). Having watched the show, I truly and honestly think the hype was unreasonable. There wasn't anything in particular in the show that was worthy of the hype.
Well, if only 7 people watched, it, 3 letters might qualify as "too many". [IMG]

Let's not start rumors. NBC blames the cancellation on extremely low ratings and low ratings alone. Let's be credible in our witness, folks.

Tonight on another board all the Christians that took part in emailing or calling for the cancellation of this show were called "Christian terrorists". Nice huh? Makes me sick.
