We've all probably received stuff from various places urging to boycott a certain company or product or service.

Do any of you honestly believe such boycotts actually work?

Probably not but at least I don't feel I am contributing to that thing which offends me. I won't buy Girl Scout cookies nor will I have anything to do with them. Does it make a difference to them that Ann from NY doesn't buy their cookies? Probably not but at least at the end of the day I can say "I didn't support them with my money."

I don't think they necessarily work, but I do sometimes "boycott" or choose not to partake for lots of different personal reasons. Like those "dum dum" candies. I hate those and refuse to eat and buy because of the name.

I think in the big picture, life happens and many things suffer their own demise.
