Philadelphia City Councilman, Rick Mariano has now barricaded himself in the bell tower of Philadelphia City Hall and is threatening to jump.

Mariano is currently under investigation by a grand jury and is expected to be indicted early next week.

    S.W.A.T. team is en route.

It doesn't matter how much trouble he's gotten himself into. There's no reason to jump. I pray that God comforts him.

WPVI is reporting that Mariano has just given himself up and is being taken to University Hospital for psychiatric evaluation.

Good. It was a short standoff, but it ended well.

Now that the incident is over, may I ask what the investigation was over?

BTW, I am glad it ended well.

There are a couple of things they're looking at.

The biggest one are allegations that local contractors have paid his personal credit card bills in exchange for political favors.

There are also problems with campaign contributions he's received from local labor unions.
