same liberal media saying i am not against america because i do not support the coming war. just as the pharisees said they were not against God even though they dishonored Him directly to His face.
did you hear some of your comrades say they would fly to iraq and use themselves as human sheilds? i would at that point classify them as traitors and exact the same response as to my enemy.

i call on all liberal preachers and teachers to resign and leave their office and i call on all liberals that fight against america to leave and join thier true leader.

Massdak, did you actually read the pieces? Some of them support U.S. intervention. Were you only commenting on the ones that oppose a war with Iraq, or did you read far enough to realize that there were opposing viewpoints?

As for the comment about my "comrades" I think you may be confused here. I'm a veteran and a paratrooper who served his country honorably and would do so again. Not all social and theological liberals are pacifists.

You assertion, incidentally, that opposition to invading Iraq is equivalent to opposition to America is ludicrous and untenable. Good, patriotic Americans (like Sen. Sam Nunn) opposed the original war with Iraq (which was far easier to jusitfy), and good Americans oppose this one. Such is the nature of a democratic society.

not so, i was commenting toward those who oppose with extremism and that go as far as to undermine america even if they think otherwise.
i see liberalism as a plague that kills common sense and trys to kill doctrine but will not succeed.
i call on all liberal preachers and teachers to resign and leave their office. so would you please heed my call

I didn't read the articles, just wanted to give my personal oppinion.

I wish we lived in a world that war wasn't necessary. I wish our troops did not have to go to war. I do believe fighting is sometimes needed.

In this case... I think it is well established that Saddam is a brutal and ruthless man who will do just about anything. The 12 war heads were found, that were not on the original list of arms they were required to submit. Then it is claimed they didn't know they were there, or they forgot. Only an idiot would believe that Saddam didn't know about them.

Protestors. I think many of them are being fed lies from people trying to promote their selves or their agendas. Jackson has been trying to get himself back in the main picture ever since he was revealed as an adulterer. The oil argument is full of holes. If we were after oil, we could have taken every drop the first time we were there, and we didn't. We get less than 15% of our oil from over there I heard. I say we stop getting it from there all together and get it from elsewhere hence rid ourselves of that accusation all together.

Rev. I just want to thank you for serving our country. I am sure that brings you much pride. [IMG]

Gidday Reverend Joshua. In Australia there is alot being said in both sides. Both can make a case in the media that seems convincing. Hopefully many Christians will get on there knees and pray for peace. Prayer of Christians can literally avert Wars.

Reverend Joshua, have you seen the Michael Moore Film "Bowling for Colombine"?

For those of u who think war is the only answer check out the site below.

It was easy in '91 but Madman has had 12 years to prepare and this time we willl have many more casualties.

Have any of you watched them load siver shipping containers with bodies onto planes to return to family just remains of loved ones?

Have any of you watched them unload a plane load of wounded young men, missing body parts?

War is not the glomour they show on CNN. War is 100% terror for those who are there.

Yes, Saddam has to go, but at what cost?

    Think about it!

What a bizzarre collection of opinions, playwrites discussing the theology of war, which of course he blasts (there was of course never war in the Bible). :( Thanks for posting the link Joshua. I did not read them all yet, but read several. I support President Bush in whatever decision he makes concerning the war. That is one of the reasons we have a republic, to elect people to make the tough decisions. At this moment and since the President first indicated that war with Iraq might be necessary, I have been in favor of the war. That said, there are several things that bother me. I am not an internationalist, I don't think we need the world's approval for action, but I wonder why we don't have it. If the evidence of an Iraqi threat is secret but still overwhelming, I would think other nations would have similar evidence.
My BIGGEST fear though, is that the US is approaching this war with overconfidence and confidence in herself only. Don't get me wrong, I know we (the USA) have an incredible military, but before the last war with Iraq Pres. GHWB called us to prayer and we did pray. As the war approached I sat with fellow believers and wept, knowing that part of all it was my sin. Men and women on both sides would die. We prayed, I believe our cause was just and the Lord allowed or provided an overwhelming victory. This time there has been no call to prayer and I think very little prayer and it scared me to death.
One last BIG mistake. After the last war, we never, as a nation, thanked and acknowledged God for the victory. We thanked everyone else, and I believe it cost GHWB his reelection.
Thanks for listening to my rants.

Hey I'm 56 served in Vietnam... My son in law gave me a cap for Christmas and it say U.S. Marine Corp Veteran... Wear it proudly!... Was brought to tears the other day when a total stranger walked up to me shook my hand and said welcome home!... Very few were welcomed home from Vietnam!

You value your freedoms... Don't thank me thank the names on the wall. You value where you worship and your right to do according to the dictates of your heart... Get on your knees and thank the God of glory for sending men who valued freedoms as much as you did and died for it.

I get fed up with people who say we shouldn't go... And now the celebrities are coming out in mass... What a bunch of hypocrites!... We heard them during Vietnam too!... I may be 56 but I can still carry a gun and use it too and will if needs be. Then again as corrupt as our country has become at times why is it still here... I will tell you why because there are God fearing men and women if who are trying to serve God and their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to the best of their ability. That is worth fighting for and the only thing worth fighting for!... Because in my book everything else is built upon that foundation... If it is not!... Freedom is nothing and just another word!...
