Sadly history is a weak point of mine. Broadbent's Pilgrim Church has come into my possession.
What opinion do you have of it?

    Jason,

I haven't read the work, but I know of it. I looked it up online and there is PDF of the entire book. Broadbent was of the Plymouth Brethren, ergo, it is a work written from that perspective. Like any work from within the church, it has a certain value. According to the chapter summaries, it seems to focus on those churches that are more favorable to the Plymouth Brethren. So, it really seems to be a defense of the latter in matters of evangelism.

    Blessings.

    Reformed,
    Thanks
Interesting, considering it is on my LRBS assigned reading.

I've always knew of the book, but haven't read it and know nothing accurate about it. I found one review of the book HERE.
