    Slow news day, huh Jerome?

Dayton is a nice little town to visit if any of you BB folks are down that way.

For many colleges, sports is a tool for recruiting students (and their girlfriends, boyfriends and just friends).

Never heard of fishing as a varsity sport, though. One school in our area as a rifle team.

To coin a phrase, whatever floats your boat.

There was a college tournament at one of our local lakes this last summer. The school fishing teams were here for the week prior getting to know the lake. Most of the teams have some pretty big corporate sponsers and had some incredible boats and equipment. I saw the Tennessee, Clemson, and Florida State boats and they were all decked out with custom paint and their school mascots.

Lets just hope that when the wussification of America is complete and college football is outlawed that the corruption doesn't spread to college fishing programs.

Oh I am sure it already has. I am sure it is all catch and release and I doubt if those college hot shots would even know how to rig limb hooks. They probably don't even dig their own bait.
