We are trying to build a stronger youth group at our church and I would love to hear some suggestions that any of you may have on different activities that we could do within the church. Thanks!

lock ins are fun(sleep overs at the church)

if you want a more service type thing... ask what needs to be done... walls painted... stuff being fixed up... that's always fun!

Our Youth has doubled over the past 2 months or so. We do alot of different things. We just got back for "Acquire the Fire". Every teen rededicated themselves and are on fire for God (www.acquirethefire.com). We just had a lock in with a "Survivor" theme. it was awesome. You need WRITTEN goals, a WRITTEN plan, and the understanding from your helpers that they need to be God led, not just wanting to help in the youth. Children don't accept second rate from anyone or anything. Do all things to the honor of God. Check out our UNDERCONSTRUCTION website at www.e3youth.org. Go to events, lockin and check out the pics [IMG]

don't be surprised though, if you don't get a lot of parent volunteers... my dad never has enough... we cancelled 2 major trips last year thanks to no parent volunteers :(

Give them God's word. Teach them things that will stick with them for life. Give them a strong foundation of Bible. You may not have a overwhelmingly huge group, but at least the ones you have will be equiped with THE ARMOR, God's word. Then they will be built up and strong!

First of all, stay away from any suggestion by av1611.com. [IMG]

Lazer tag is always fun. I would recommend going to a festival. Festival Con Dios and Creation are two fantastic events that are great fun, great atmospheres, and great for growing.

I think it would be fun to have an all day fishing trip for the guys and an all day mall trip (or something to that nature) for the girls. Or you could go on a hike in the middle of the night and tell ghost stories. [IMG]
