Mehlman has refused to comment on the issue of his sexual orientation every time he is asked. It wouldn't be a shocker to me if he were to "come out of the closet". He would be joining RNC Chief Financial Officer, Jay Banning and RNC National Field Director, Daniel Gurley who have both admitted that they are homosexuals.

    I agree.

Granted, it's a little unusual for them all to go at once, but it's pretty rare that people stay through eight years of a two term admin.

I think she's reading way too much into this.

Actually, I'm glad to see Colin Powell step down. I hated a lot of the State Department policies under him. Maybe things will change now and they will get rid of the Green Card Lottery, though I doubt it.

Well, you are entitled to opinion and by defending the GOP no matter what must mean you have turned into a pro-homosexual and pro-abort, for that is the direction the party has headed. Voicing dissent does not make me or anyone else a Michael Moore. </font>[/QUOTE]Well, I hope that you stop saying that you are a member of the GOP. And your charges that I am pro-homo and pro-choice are false, and you know it.

Your voicing dissent at this time does make you like Michael Moore--always on a crusade for a political cause.

    CMG,

Take a deep breath, and relax. Now:

It's RINO, not RHINO. It stands for "Republican In Name Only". It is a term that was invented to describe politicians who are registered Republican, but do not hold to the Republican principles of smaller government, less spending, lower taxes, outlawing abortion, etc.

I think that Lady Eagle does believe in those things, whereas you tend to support politicians who implement the opposite in most cases, or at the very least do nothing to promote Republican principles.

Therefore, even though neither you nor Lady Eagle is a rhinocerous, it is YOU who is the RINO, if anyone.

Look, PenGym, it can be either way in the GOP, so I think that the best conclusion is that neither one of you is GOP--afterall, she voted against the President and posts against him all the time, just like you.

And the definition doesn't really matter, especially coming from a non-Republican like you. The fact is that someone who claims to be a Republican but is is worthy of being called some other animal other than an elephant is a rhino or some other beast in the zoo. The heart of being a good Republican is to be loyal to the party.

In this case, you-two are loyal to the CP only.

Speaking of animal characterisations, can we all say "yellow dog Republicans?"

If holding to Christian principles, and placing the good of the nation above party make one a bad Republican, I'll proudly wear the label:

    PENNSYLVANIA JIM, BAD REPUBLICAN

You may do the opposite if you wish; they love blind followers, and if you just show up to help out without asking questions, you'll get invited to free meals, like I used to.

Word that Kerik was Bush’s selection to replace Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge came amid continuing changes in Bush’s inner circle, with former Missouri Sen. John Danforth submitting his resignation as ambassador to the United Nations.

So far, seven members of his 15-member Cabinet have submitted their resignations for his second term. Another departure, by Health and Human Services Secretary Tommy Thompson, also appears to be near.
