    With all the lies and false accusations told on President Bush and with the "mindset" of them, who could trust them to be in charge?

    No Bush didn't mislead the nation into war, Bush believed that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction so did Clinton,England,France,Germany,Russia, they believed the same as Bush believed, If anyone is to blame our intelligence is to blame for misleading everyone. Can you accept the truth?

    Our president and his officials have a responsibility to make CERTAIN that his intelligence is accurate before acting.

    The buck stops here. It is a mark of a poor leader to blame subordinates.

    Well, I assume had a left-wing President been in office he would have used worse intelligence, even to the extent of not going to war and letting the enemy destroy all of us.

    True leaders don't assign blame to others. True leaders step up to the plate and accept the blame when they have made decisions in error or based on faulty intelligence. True leaders accept accountability for their actions and/or inactions and don't assign blame to those underneath them in the chain of command.

    Since the POTUS is the top dog in the administration and the heads of cabinets and directors of branches are selected and appointed by him and events occur on his watch, good or bad, the buck ultimately stops with him. He is the most powerful man in the world with the wealth of this nation and national resources, and military might at his beck and call - and with that power, wealth, resources and military might comes accountability.

    Out to lunch! The President cannot be expert in every area. President Clinton said that he thought that there were WMDs in Iraq. Who is blaming Clinton?

    So the President is not ultimately responsible for his decisions?

    Clinton did not act on his suspicions and take us to war. Bush did.

    I DON'T BELIEVE BUSH HAS BLAMED INTELLIGENCE FOR ANYTHING, IT WAS ONLY MY SPECULATION.,, AND IF ALL THE OTHER COUNTRIES AND OUR BUSHS' INTELLIGENCE BELIEVED SADDAM HAD WEAPONS OF DESTRUCTION WHY DON'T YOU BELIEVE THEY DO?

    CDK,HOW CAN YOU JUDGE PRESIDENT BUSH FOR HIS ACTIONS ABOUT FEDERAL AID? CERTAIN STEPS HAS TO BE TAKEN IN THESE PROCEDURES BUT I'M SURE YOU WOULDN'T ACCEPT ANY OF THEM AS AN EXCUSE. IF ONE WANTS TO FIND FAULT IN SOMEONE THEY WILL EVEN IF IT TAKES A LIE TO DO SO. WHY DON'T YOU SEEK THE TRUTH INSTEAD OF HERESY?

    Frances, C4K is and has been one of the most levelheaded, honest and completely credible persons on the board. There is no need to attack him as a Bush basher as he has most certianly NEVER bashed Bush in any of the posts I have ever seen him post. And I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that most if not all other members here would agree.

    And please, stop yelling it's not good for your PC. [​IMG]
