(White House-AP) -- President Bush is seeking to rally
support for faith-based efforts to rehabilitate prisoners.
The president holds a White House roundtable today with
leaders of Prison Fellowship, which ministers to men and women
behind bars to help them avoid returning to a life of crime. The
group is headed by Chuck Colson, the Watergate figure who founded
it after his spell in prison.
Bush is a long-time supporter of Prison Fellowship, which
is releasing a new study showing that its InnerChange Freedom
    Initiative cuts recidivism.
But civil libertarians say the initiative violates
separation of church and state, and in Iowa they've filed suit to
stop the state from funding it.
