Gershom pointed out to Corinne: You've suggested politics and Christianity don't mix,

    Religious Right Strategy

    Religious Oriented Votes

In New Hampshire, a quarter to a third of the voters are said to be religious conservatives. In some Southern states like Oklahoma, South Carolina, Georgia, Texas, and Florida, we are looking at a figure between 55 and 65 percent of the entire Republican primary vote being self identified born-again evangelicals or pro-family Roman Catholics. That is a huge, huge factor we cannot keep ignoring. A lot of these Christians vote right because they have no real religious moral alternative.

The good cop - bad cop method

The strategy of the Religious Right is to have someone say something insane publicly, then have another person say something great (both are usually top people).

    Mission Statement

The Christian Resistance is non-denominational, and is neither Left nor Right politically. We have no evangelical impulse to establish a church and control groups of followers, we have no black and white teachings, and we do not actively seek to convert others to our belief that only those who believe in Christ will fully know God like the Bible promises. This is because we recognize that as Christians, we can never be 100% pure like Jesus Christ was, but we should seek to improve our own purity percentage to get close to perfection.

What does the word manichean mean? I have never heard that Bush made someone get an abortion. As for changing views, the older (and hopefully wiser) I get, I see things that I saw when I was younger in a different light. Also, when I started living for the Lord I saw things differently.

According to your definition of Christian, Bush would be one because he believes in Jesus. He has said so himself (you said yourself--"If he is a Christian at all).
