I cant believe you even fell for this.

Ah but then again, look who posted it.

You have to look pretty far and wide to find a story such as this one...I used quite a few search engines to find it independently, and nothing hit. So I clicked on your dumb link...and read "Capitol Hill Blue...Because nobody's life, liberty, or property are safe while Congress is in session or the White House is occupied". The 'article' if you can call it that, is a rant led by some large headed person nobody has ever heard of...is that you Poncho? Doing a little self promotion this morning?

Kind of leads me to believe ol Poncho there supports an overthrow of the United States government. And you wonder why we dont take you seriously....tsk tsk.

Chuck Baldwin wrote about this in his column this week, "Did President Bush Really Say That?".

He concludes his column by stating:

Did President Bush really say the things Doug Thompson quotes him as saying? I sincerely hope not. And if he did not, Mr. Thompson certainly owes his readers and the President an apology. However, if it proves to be true, will conservative Christians admit that everything they were led to believe about G.W. Bush was a lie, because indeed it would be?!

Consdier the source through Jonathan. Neither Capitol Hill Blues or Chuck Baldwin are trustworthy sources of information.

It is highly unlikely that Bush said this. Poncho is pretty naive about things like this as we have seen in the past with some of his postings. Remember, folks, just because you can find it on a website does not make it true. We shouldn't be shocked to find out that people make stuff up ... on all sides.

I don't know much about Doug Thompson or Captiol Hill Blues, other than it's one of the oldest political news sites online, but I do know Chuck Baldwin and do know that he is a great man of God and a very trustworthy source of information. For you to say that about a fellow brother in Christ and a fellow minister of the Gospel is just hatefull. What about Pastor Baldwin would cause you to say such a thing about him? Would you like it if other pastors were saying that you were not a trustworthy source of information?

Kind of leads me to believe you've been duped by the globalist regime posing as the United States government and you'll mearliy go along with the piecemeal destruction of our constitutional republic by the same. Tsk tsk.

If personal attacks are the best you can do to discuss an article I feel really sorry for you and our republic.

I don't know Chuck Baldwin apart from what I have read of him, mostly stuff you have posted here. Having read that, it is fair to say that he is not trustworthy source of information. He takes what he reads elsewhere, and the writes his opinion about it. Simply put, he is an opinion writer, not a news source.

His opinion, as often as not, has holes and poor thinking. I don't know what kind of pastor he is. I don't know if he is a great man of God. And I didn't say anything hateful. For all I know he is a nice, well-intentioned person. I simply don't know, and so in keeping with my custom, I won't say much on that topic.

The truth however is that he is not trustworthy as a source of information. He is only as good as his sources. He, like most, approaches things from a biased point of view. That makes him an opinion writer, not a news source. And that's fine, but let's call it what it is. To point that out is certainly not hateful, and I can't imagine any legitimate reason for making that charge. Has the truth about issues become so distasteful that we will accuse people of hate for stating something?

Would I like it if others said that about me? It has happened before, on this very board. And funny thing is, I don't remember you standing up for me and calling those who said it "hateful."

Capitol Hill Blue? HEHEH!!!! They're a political gossip column. They're a political "National Enquirer".

IMO, it is inappropriate for a Christian to cite the National Enquirer, because we're forbidden from engaging in rumor and gossip. The same would apply to Capitol Hill Blue, for the same reason.

This incident is another example of Bush's state of mind and typical of similar incidents through out his life, the man has never changed. The nature of his comments on the Constitution parallels him giving the middle finger to those who disagree with him. Don't be surprised if his adictive behavior politically destroys himself.

I needn't hear George Bush call the United States constitution (that he swore to protect and defend) a
"[edited] piece of paper" to figure out he holds it in distain. The Patriot Act(s) themselves and the way this administration uphold these anti American laws tell me all I need to know about this current batch of globalists occupying Washington DC.

Some of Doug Thompson's credential as a Journalist:

He served as press secretary for two Congressmen and then Chief of Staff for another before joining the House Committee on Science & Technology. From 1987-1992, Thompson served as Vice President for Political Programs for The National Association of Realtors and then joined The Eddie Mahe Company as a senior associate for Communications. During that stint he became involved in campaign finance issues and was a founding member of the Project for Comprehensive Campaign Reform. He also lectured at the American Campaign Academy and was a sought-after spokesman on campaign finance issues.
You can view his entire credentials at

Doug Thompson's article was also carried by Google and Yahoo and a others

It isn't credible unless the Bush administraton pays somebody to print or air it. How incredibly uncredible of them.

No one questions Baldwin's faithfulness and conservative views. But the fact that he aligns himself with World Net Daily leaves his objective credibility suspect.

I agree John. I must admit I used to like WND but when you see sensational news articles that you dont see on any other news source you get suspicious. Like the pics you used to see on national enquirer of the president of the US arm in arm with a space alien.

How did WorldNetDaily get brought into this thread? I think WND is a great conservative resource online. I have never understood what Johnv's personal problem is with WND, he seems to automatically disregard anything from them.

After reading Pastor Baldwin's bio I find it shocking that someone like Pastor Larry would say the kind of negative things that he has been saying about him for the last year or so.

Poncho, *you* quote a journalist (using THAT term very loosely) who engaged in a moderately personal attack of the President veiled as an 'informed opinion piece' - and you call me a dupe? Why thats the funniest thing Ive heard in quite some time!

And I inform you again, should your constitutional rights be dismantled, I will lead the charge to come get you. Have a nice day.

PN...you cant be informed on someone's state of mind, Presidential or otherwise from an opinion piece. Might want to switch to decaf. Both of you.
