    It is a big deal regardless of who authorizes, or when it is done. We have warrants for such things.

    Obama is too busy to takcle wire taping, beacuse, his priority is ending abortion restrictions and bombing in the Mid East.!

    For begin with, things are much different today then in G. Washingtons day. He did not have to worry about an unexplacent plane dropping bombs on his troops, or crashing into a city, killing hundreds or thousands of people.
    I am glad the patriot act was passed. Of course one of the best parts was the sunset provision.

    Okay, let me clarify...first, we have no idea if Eschelon even exists. Secondly Bush has admitted lying about requiring warrants. So at the very least Bush expanded the program beyond Eschelon, which was only international traffic. Now it seems ALL traffic is monitored. Big surprise there.

    No hole at all...just your spin. We know Bush has admitted to the wiretaps. If Eschelon exists, this is an obvious expansion. If not, he began it with the USA PATRIOT Act. Pretty simple really.
