    Now that Bush is our re-elected president, and republicans gained seats in both the House and Senate, we can look forward to an AWESOME next 4 years!

    For one thing, 2 or 3 new Supreme court justices will be appointed during the next four years (as well as many other judges). This will bode extremely well for Christians in abortion and homosexual marriage cases. Furthermore, we will be better able to separate ourselves to God as a nation - and turn the USA more towards God as a nation - under Bush.

    Moreover, we will be able to continue fighting terrorism and not have to "pass a global test" in order to defend america and defeat the enemies that hinder the spread of the Gospel! The World doesn't want us to spread freedom and the Gospel, so getting their permission would only severely hinder the spread of the Gospel of Jesus.

    As christians, we couldn't have asked for a better outcome to this election!! Praise God!

    I think you are referring to we Christian conservatives. I doubt that Christian liberals share your enthusiasm.

    Which 'god' is that? The 'god' that both Christians and Muslims may worship?

    That is not up to the POTUS. That is up to each individual, whose individual religious liberty is constitutionally guaranteed.

    Sure, we love to complain about the lack of prayer in schools, or the lack of the Ten Commandments in a courthouse, but all the prayer in schools, and all the public displays of the 10 Commandments, will do nothing whatsoever if one does not have prayer in the home and the 1o Commandments in one's heart.

    Satan worshipers or communists don't share my enthusisasm either. Neither do atheists. Neither do democrats. ;)

    1Ti 2:1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, [and] giving of thanks, be made for all men;
    1Ti 2:2 For kings, and [for] all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
    1Ti 2:3 For this [is] good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;

    It is not salvation I seek from George Bush and congressional leaders... it is a quiet and peaceable life filled with godliness and honesty. My salvation is in Jesus.

    Look at Elijah - He wanted to turn Israel back to God and the means to do so came through Elijah's obedience toward 3 things - Anointing a king, anointing a military leader, and anointing a prophet to take his place. (1Kings 19:14-17)

    No - the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in whom we have salvation through Jesus. The God the Muslims worship is the prince of this earth, Satan.

    Again, where individual's personal relationship with God and Salvation are concerned is not the question here. If you look at the Word you can see that all throughout history, God judges nations based on the overall state of the nation. Look at Israel... whenever they would stray from God, they would be subjugated to some foreign rule or be otherwise desimated. They would come crawling back to God to save them from their situation. Look at Daniel - the nation of Israel was in bondage to Babylon, yet he remained individually a man of God.

    Dan 6:28 So this Daniel prospered in the reign of Darius, and in the reign of Cyrus the Persian.

    Daniel prospered for his individual relationship with God, yet Israel as a nation suffered in bondage and struggle.

    Amen, brother.

    Shall we say that the "religious right" rejoices...rather than Bible believing Christians?
    Any man who calls himself a Christian and is member of an apostate denomination (pro-homo, pro-feminism, pro-abort) is not to be trusted. Add to that his promotion of the homosexual agenda by adding homosexuals to his line of defense very early in his 2000 reign. Add to that saying he is pro-life, then giving tax money to pro-abortion sources. And, an unconstitutional war, with lots of lying about why we are there.
    I thank God that Christ is Sovereign! God's hand is in this--but not for the blessing some think it is. It is further judgment on our nation; and on a delinquent church. Time for repentance, which always comes before revival.

    What's the difference? I always thought the "religious right" was a euphemism for Bible believing Christians.

    As a Conservative, I have probably been harder on Bush than anyone on the board (except maybe PA Jim and Galatian), but did you consider the alternative Democratic nominee?

    Bible believing Christians were praying that God's Will would be done in this election. And so, God's Will has been done. The majority has spoken, by about 3.5 million votes over the other side.

    Would I have preferred to see the Constitution Party candidate, Michael Peroutka, be the next president? Yes. Did I vote for him? Yes.

    But God's Will was done, in answer to the many prayers of His saints. I just hope and pray President Bush will REALLY turn his heart towards God and it will be evidenced by his deeds.

    Daisy, many Christians overseas were praying about this election and were hoping George Bush would win. I saw a program the other day where some Christian leaders from all over the world were here praying - Christian pastors from Vietnam, India, Nigeria, and others - even FRANCE!

    It opened my eyes. I am so used to all the negativity towards America in the press and reported opinions from other countries about how they hate Americans, I had forgotten that Bible-Believing Christians, the Conservative kind, are all over the world and really do love America - why? Because more likely than not, it was an American missionary who introduced them to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. These pastors and Christian leaders from all over the world were here to "thank America" for the Gospel and to show their gratitude and support and concern over this election. That program really blessed my heart.

    That 77% in that overseas poll....it is pretty doubtful to me that Christians overseas even participated and on the chance that they did, they would be the 23% that were for Bush.

    The majority of Americans voted for Bush. That means the majority of Americans are NOT for the same values as the people in the blue states.

    I live in Minnesota - can't get much farther North than that, and I am certainly thanking God for putting a godly man in office. I go to a church of about 10,000 - I can tell you that the vast majority of them are rejoicing as well (judging by the # of Bush/Cheny bumper stickers I see in the parking lot anyway).

    Also... every poll I have seen questioning active military says that Bush has in the neighborhood of 70% support. If by North you mean Canada, and by overseas you mean other countries, then perhaps that is true. Canada has banned the Bible as hate speech, so it doesn't seem unreasonable that they don't like Bush. The vast majority of overseas countries are not Christian countries... so that makes sense as well.

    Yes- His will would have been done, and he would have answered many of our prayers with "no", which is perfectly acceptable!
