    No , you have swallowed the Augustine version of spiritual deadness . There's no verse that says the extent calvinism puts on spiritual deadness. You group a bunch of proof texts together to say that's what it means .

    The Gift is obviously salvation . Only someone with a paradigm could possibly read Eph 2,8.9 and come away with ' Faith ' as the gift .

    LOL, I have never read Augustine, except for a couple quotes, nor Calvin. You are desperate to avoid the Bible and it is apparent to all readers.

    No it means ' through ' faith . The Calvinist has been fooled into ' faith ' being a work and that it has to be ' gifted ' .

    Apart from God’s gracious initiative in bringing His Son, the Holy Spirit, and the inspired gospel appeal, no one can merit salvation or consistently seek to obey God in a way that will attain his own righteousness.
