Yeah, I guess that's what it is. Thanks for the heads up, Brother.

Strange interpretation but I suppose everyone is welcome to their own beliefs. I interpret it to mean that we must make Christ Lord of our lives and give up anything else we put above Him in order to be saved. You know it's dangerous to mock the words of the Savior.

What exactly is the "subtext?" Is that the text you add to make Jesus' words conformj to your incorrect theology? The Bible warns against doing that in the book of Revelation.

That is exactly what it was bro. I was being sarcastic....... not in a mean way. I can't think of a time when we didn't agree on most all subjects.

In this case, the subtext is the meaning that DOESN'T contradict the rest of the Bible. But I don't expect you to get it, or to agree, even if you did.

hey, there, rb....must confess I didn't see the "reformed" before the believer and thought you really meant what you said...but I lay the blame on this diabetic slush passing itself off as a brain inside my head...:wavey:

    Npet,

If it weren't for Romans 3:9-5:3, I would be tossed to and fro by every wind of doctrine as to how a person is truly saved--no works, no ritual--just faith in Christ as our propitiation, puts us right with God.

    Outlaw Reformed Theology?!

The decision of the Arbuckle Association was stupid. Plain and simple.

It is impossibler to let it go at that however. Many among SB's these days who hold to a Reformed Calvinist theology are both obnoxious and entitled. Some of them seem to believe they are "predestined" to be "in charge."

Have no fear though. If Calvinists are ever tossed out of the SBC -- or here at BB -- Reformed theology WILL NOT die! We REFORMATION ARMINIANS will continue to stand up for the principles and truths of the Protestant Reformation.

PS -- Diving for cover at this very moment! :tonofbricks:

Quite the unedifying post JDALE . Then you want to dive for cover knowing you are way out of line . You are impossible ( even though it is "impossibler" for you to conceive that ) .

Did you mean "unedifying" or "unedited" Rip? :)

I can't be any more impossibler than you my [slightly extreme Calvinist]friend ;-)
