Can KJVO ever be idolatry

    The suggestion that KJVO can come to the point of idolatry is what really first got me thinking about the issue, or rethinking it actually.

    The man who brought this to my attention was a presbyterian pastor who promoted the use of the KJV but who called the Riplinger/Ruckman/Gipp brand of KJVO as idolatry.


    I was surprised at that language at first but after thinking about it more I began to realize that it is perhaps true in many cases.


    That is not to say that all people who fall generally into the KJVo camp are at an idolatrous level but I think it could be said that this pastor was right.

    What do you think?

    When you equate the KJV with God it is idolatry...

    Most KJVOs do not do this.. only a few.

    Some great examples can be found around here. In fact, if you don't bow down and worship you are subject to be called a snake and unteachable, and otherwise be-littled.
