As we see the Dems taking over completely in our Federal Govt now, could it be that the Lord will be doing something to turn to His good what was planned for evil?

It is a great opportunity for Evangelical Christians in the US to pray for their new leader, even though they might not like or support him. He will be responsible for much for the next 4 years, and the Lord can still do His works through this man, as He did through King Nebuchadnezzar, who the Lord did use for His purposes.

"The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results." (James 5:16. NLT)

Obviously, I do...I was right about Biden becoming President and Republicans losing the Senate. So yeah the prayers of the righteous did avail much. :Biggrin

I agree. As much as I am dreading the consequences to the nation of the clean sweep of the left, the place of the Christian is to pray for their leaders, seek to replace the bad with the good through mid-term elections, and to behave as Christ would have them behave.

I fear the floodgates of increased abortion, increased homosexuality, more teaching that children can live as the opposite gender, punishments to conservatives as AOC has planned and more. I fear it all and more. I fear the rewriting of history that Trump and folks who voted for him are all lynch mobbing racists and bigots.

I didn't really like Trump for several reasons. I did vote for him and I know he was not a racist.

I also fear that conservatives will spend so much time bellyaching that they will cut off their noses to spite their faces and will not look within their own selves to change their own hearts.

This is not the time for boasting or pouting, laughing at losers like hyenas or starting riots.

This is the time for all Christians - left or right - to turn back to God, obey their Bibles, and seek righteousness.

What one side fears, the other hopes for...and thankfully, that side is in control of the government.

very well said! There are some here who just don't want to acknowledge the immense moral damage that Biden/Harris will do, as well as spiritual. But, the Lord IS Greater than ALL, and is very able to do His will, regardless of who is the POTUS.

Folks, please read this and reconsider your positions on earthly politics:

Believers are no longer citizens of this nation nor this world. We have now become foreigners, pilgrims and strangers to this nation and this world.

Under the Mosaic Law, participation in government was encouraged and in many cases, required. Remember, this Law functioned to address the needs of national Israel and their physical kingdom. The New Testament Church is distinct from Old Testament Israel in that it’s a spiritual Kingdom governed by spiritual principles looking PAST this physical world. As such, its recourse is neither physical nor political.

There are several reasons for this:

In the Old Testament God had a physical Kingdom and He used this physical Kingdom for His Glory.

In the New Testament God has no physical Kingdom on earth but a Spiritual one. God is no longer raising and lowering kings or kingdoms. He has no physical, earthly interest in the Kingdoms and affairs on earth during our Age. Of course He knows exactly what will happen throughout the Church age but He influences NONE of it. Consider for a moment why God in the New Testament tells us to pray for those in human government authority? There is no command in the Old Testament similar to that. It is because He did not install them and He has no influence over any of them by His own Choice and His Own Righteous Principals. Our effectual and fervent prayers for these worldly leaders are to be Spiritual only in nature for their salvation. In the last age or generation, God works ONLY THROUGH INDIVIDUALS, not governments or populations. Governments have been given over BY GOD to satan and satan has full control over them as the "god" of this world.

    World Governments are Beast Systems:

World governments and political establishments are under the temporal power and authority of the “god of this world”. They are blind to God’s principles and refuse to answer to His authority (regardless of any of their claims):

    Matthew 4: 8 Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;
9 And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.

Colossians 2:15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

2 Corthinians 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them

Please consider Romans 13: 1-2. Our Lord instituted government authority and His Command refers to the offices (institutions) and never specific people. Compared to those Old Testament instances our Lord raised or lowered kings by name. No instance of that occurs in the New Testament including Revelation for a clear reason. Which is very relevant since Daniel's visions describe the last several kingdoms on earth prior to our Lord's Return in Flaming Fire as beasts.

In the book of Daniel, God shows him a vision in which four beasts rise out of the sea (Daniel 7:1-26). These “beasts” correspond to world governments or empires. After them, Daniel sees a man, described as the “Ancient of Days”, setting up an everlasting government that eclipses all the ones prior.

How interesting that the final government is symbolized by Jesus Christ—while all the preceding ones are depicted as “beasts”. Daniel’s vision is just more evidence of an important lesson. In this church age (the last time) and until Christ’s Kingdom arrives to replace the ruler ship of "beasts", we exist in a world governed by satan.

Our Lord raises no kings, kingdoms or nations in this age nor does He put them down. It is an obvious and logical conclusion that HE is no longer vested in the human governments of the world because He no longer maintains a physical NATION ON EARTH during the New Testament church age. Along with the fact that God gave satan full control of the earth as the god of this world's socioeconomic systems, the evidence is indisputable.

A basic understanding of the difference between the OLD Testament way God deals with man and the NEW Testament way are the polar opposites. Faith came by sight in the OT and Faith comes without sight in the New Testament.

Now if all governments are typified by beasts, headed up by the “god of this world” (Satan), why would we cast our vote for any of them? Why would we serve them militarily in order to advance their “beastly” agendas?

INTERESTING CORRELATION EXPLAINING WHY GOD REFERS TO THE LAST RULER OF THE WORLD SYSTEM AS "THE BEAST"!

Why would we want to fill the role of political leader or enforce government justice when we understand these positions to be corrupted by Satan’s control? The answer is clear, we don’t! As Christians, we have our own priorities to mind, and we should let the world mind theirs.

    voting-citizenship-change

Come out of the harlots under the mother now, don't wait. All of man's "churches" will be destroyed soon.

    Mother of harlots and abominations

I know you're sincere because you constantly called for prayers for Trump as leader.

    Oh, wait...

Both the GOP and the DNC are worldly powers. I do believe that God will use elections and governments for His purposes.

I suspect that we can look at the Democrat Party as a movement away from morality. If you look back you will (or probably should be able to) see both the DNC and the GOP leaning towards immorality. It is a slide. But we are not told that God will institute these powers to be good. We are told the opposite....they are evil. But God uses it for good.

I suspect that we will start seeing greater racism and racist agendas as the DNC will control our government. But at the same time we may see some benefits at the social level. The DNC is just a different kind of evil.

Hopefully, the Dems will try to bring now full blown their leftist socialist agenda, and end up be swept out of power in the Congress in 2 years!
