The Canadian Junior hockey team won the world championship tonight for the 5th time in a row. They defeated Sweden 5-1 (their second win in a row over Sweden).

    Cheers,

    Jim

Yes well done. But the best goal game in the pre-competition of the world juniors championships was made in an early game by Tavares of team Canada against Slovakia.

    Amazing!

And for hockey fans, did any one catch the Winter Classic this year at Wrigley? Great game and even better because my Wings emphatically explained to the Blackhawks who is the best team in the central division. Datsyuk made a great goal in the second period.

Fun to watch hockey at Wrigley.

Not fun watching the Preds lose their fifth in a row :tonofbricks:

What's hockey other than that which comes out of the south end of a north bound horse?

I think the next one should be at Fenway in Boston between the Bruins and Rangers.
The winter classic is a great idea, one of the few the NHL has gotten right during the Gary Bettman years.
