While examining various doctrinal statements on the internet I came across this statement:
    Whatever does this mean?

    Opening Post (OP):
//... We do believe that the King James Version
of the Bible carries the full authority
    of the original autographs.//

I believe that the Christian Standard Bible
/Holman, 2003/ (HCSB) carries the full
    authority of the original autographs

    Deacon,

    Methinks it means:

"We do not want to be labled as radical KJVO. But if anyone wants to know, we believe the same as they do..."

Basically it refers to the fact that the translation of the scriptures from the preserved manuscripts to the KJV was an honest and trustworthy work. We can trust the KJV just as we can trust the preserved manuscripts that it is translated from.

    NOPE. Note the word differences:

    NOT "trustworthy" but "full authority"

    and

NOT "preserved manuscripts" but "original autographs"

    JSH04,

Your restatement is much more moderate and balanced that the one in the OP. They are KJVO, just do not want to admit it!

They picked their words poorly RJ, I agree with you.

It looks like, sounds like, smells like KJVO to me.

Once a particular version is named, I'm suspicious.

    Deac,

Or just maybe they picked their words very carefully, it just was not enough to hide what they wanted to say, but did not want to say? Who can say for sure. KJVO dies very hard and with a great deal of writhing and contortion!

Aye, there are people who passionatly hate the KJV too. Only trusting the King James Bible isn't bad, but calling everone else who doesn't apostate isn't. The same goes for those who call the KJV archaic and useless for the times. I PREFER KJV over every thing else but I'm not against NIV or NKJV or anything else.

We see NO Scriptural backing for their statement.

Dustin , why would you think the KJV is not archaic ? I do not believe it is useless , but it is definitely archaic .
