Just got back from my trip...

    They were great...
    What a big worship service...

And they had with them the painter that was linked here a couple weeks ago on BB... the one that painted a picture of Christ.

This time he painted 3 men praising God, while they sang Voice of Truth...
    With their hands raised...
Then after they finished that song, they sang The Word is Alive....
And at the end, after the Tony Nolan part... he painted a Bible in the hands of the middle man....

    The Crowd about lost it!!
I wish I had a link to it....

"Thank you Jesus for your word!!!, Thank you Jesus for real people who love you and your message, and will stand and proclaim it"

Isn't video taping inside a concert illegal?

I think you are right... maybe....

The signs on the door said no "professional" cameras...
It could have been done with a cell phone, or digital camera....

I'd say that spiritual worship, and the criteria thereof, is essential, since God is a spirit, and true worshippers must worship the Father in truth and in spirit.

The converse of this principle illuminates its "essential" character. Those who do not worship in truth and in spirit are false worshippers.

    Still say it's non-essential?

Yes. Debating your opinion versus my opinion is non-essential.

Video taping concerts IS against the law, has been for years. If the person taping was a Christian, how do they justify that?

I always thought that taking pictures were too...
but if you go to Casting Crown's website, there is a place for the fans to upload concert pictures of them...

And since this is their concert they got to make the rules...

I am not defending anyone... if it is against the rules... it is wrong...
    period...

All I know is we worshipped God that night...
And I thank God for Mark Hall and the whole bunch...

    I also liked Leeland....

Maybe they do allow that. Yes, they are one of my top 2 bands. Them and Third Day.

But we're not debating our opinions, we're debating the meaning behind Christ's instruction according to spiritual worship.

Spiritual worship is an "essential" as you call it. God isn't truly worshipped otherwise.

Uh...No Aaron we were NOT debating "the meaning behind Christ's instruction according to spiritual worship."

.. at least not until you hijacked this thread...

If you don't like Casting Crowns, fine.. state that.. state why you don't, (like SFIC respectfully did) but don't hijack my thread with a debate this thread is not intended to have....

I simply asked if anyone was going to this concert...
And since this concert is over...

I am going to change the direction of this thread... since, after all... IT IS MY THREAD.... lol

    Here is the new direction...
If you have been to a Casting Crowns concert... what was your favorite part?

If you want to start a thread on what spiritual worship is.. have at it.. but don't hijack my thread..

TinyTim laying down the law!!!

As to the new direction, I haven't been to a Casting Crowns concert yet, but if they are ever anywhere near my area, I'm going. I love their stuff. It really puts the focus on God, and off of myself.

    2. Joshua Rhodes opened up this topic in "your" thread.

    3. It's a debate forum.

    4. If you don't like the above 3 items, go soak your head. :type:
