What catch phrases are being used in your small portion of the world?

I have recently picked up on:

    * "Seriously?"

    "You know what I mean?"

"Do you hear what I am saying?"

The word "literally." I even hear this on TV. It's being used wrong almost all the time.

"I literally had such a good time with him." You mean it was not just imagined?

    "Get Out!"

Oh, wait, that wasn't a catch phrase, that was my wife knocking on the bathroom door!

I've always found the term "What's up?" to be getting old quick. I have often found myself saying it too. I will try mixing it up from time to time by saying, "How are things going?" or "How are you?"

I need to just come up with a new, catchy way of saying it.

The most heard words on a cell phone - "Where you at?" when the person really means, "Where are you?"

When someone asks, "what's up", I reply, "me, five feet, eleven inches".

    "We'll see what happens"

    "Sup?"

And when you answer your cell phone, before "hello" or "how's it going," it's "Where ya at?"

"You know". I was listening to a supposedly educated person speaking on the radio yesterday. I think every third or fourth word was "you know". Well, I thought to myself, If I already know, what is the point in listening any longer to this babble. It is what we call rabbiting on about nothing, and doing it endlessly. Why do people do this, you know?

    Cheers,

    Jim

When I'm asked "how ya' doin'?" My answer is

I'm above ground, I'm vertical, I'm not in the hospital, I'm not in jail. What more could one ask?
