CBF remove Jesus

It is simply not the way Baptist's have done things for a very long time and there isn't any sign of things changing any time soon. </font>[/QUOTE]What Pronto says is partially true. The national convention does not dictate to the local churches what they can and cannot do. It is the opposite of that. However, as a convention, I would point out, there is a mechanism for stopping liberal heresy in our churches. The local church is free to do and teach as it wishes and the national convention is free not to associate with them. Just as we seperated from the heretical BWA, the same could be done with a local church without violating their autonomy. They would still be free to do and teach all manner of heresy. They would just have to do it without us, our name, or our support.
