Cheap Lawyers.

    We have all been bombarded with the so called benefits of NAFTA, and now the pushing of CAFTA. We are told of the benefits of cheap labor due to illegal immigrants and strong urging of a guest worker program. We have imported labor in high tech industries such as engineers, IT, physics and so on. All of this with the argument that Americans either wont work or arent educated to do the job.
    My proposal to stop this madness is we invite all licensed lawyers from Mexico and all third world countries automatic citizenship, automatic license transfers to practice in our country, and any congressman, senator, (most of whom carry law degrees), or the big shots at the American Bar Association who object, automatically be branded radical racists.
    Am I out on a limb that this wont happen? Or is it just the drywallers, bricklayers and roofers who should be vulnerable?

    Some folks won't be satisfied till the middle class is completely gone and the only manufacturing jobs left in America can be found at McDonalds.

    Building Blue-Collar … Burgers?

    The sad part is that Mexico is not the worst economic and political case in Latin America--just the most aggressive at deporting their troublemakers and criminals to the USA systematically. Other countries are in much worse shape but American foreign policy on Latin America is in bad shape in spite of Bush's ability to speak Spanish. I think that Bush has sold out to Mexico because of corporate greed for cheap labor and because Bush gets half the Latino vote for the time being. In the long run, Catholic Latinos may return to the Democrat Party because of Catholic love of socialism and socialized government not to mention the Vatican's anti-Americanism on most issues including the war against terrorism. It is the Catholicization of America that will lead to 2nd class status very quickly.
