I own the full version of Adobe Acrobat, but came across a much cheaper option for creating PDF files. Go to www.ehelp.com/products/robopdf they offer a free 30 day trial, and the last time I checked they offered a free version that added their banner to the bottom of each page. I think the cost is about $100 opposed to over $400 for Acrobat.

I, too, have the full version of Adobe Acrobat, since my business is that of book publisher and Acrobat is an absolute necessity. BUT [IMG] if you do documents (as we are starting to more and more) in the free TeX typesetting system (available for all platforms), it generates PDFs directly. And everything is freeware.

    Best,

If you have a Linux system, it's usually included. For a Windows version (free), go to

    web page

If you would like an inkling of its power, check out the 80-page PDF document I did at:

    web page

    Is that available for Mac?

A shareware for Mac, "PrintToPDF" can be found at:
    ftp://ftp.jwwalker.com

I have used it quite a bit, works great. Of course, if you have Mac system X, a PDF maker is built in.
