I was wondering if the avid bluegrass fans on here are also fans of the group Cherryholmes? My husband and I are supposed to be going to the Ryman towards the end of July to see Ricky Skaggs followed up by Cherryholmes. I have only heard them once or twice and was quite impressed by their tremendous pickin'.

They're pretty good. In the studio, sometimes they use session musicians, so live, they may lack in the virtuoso department, family bands often do. But Ricky Skaggs is a monster, and has a super-tight band. I would hate to have them follow me, onstage. I do like the Cherryholme's music, a lot. I think the mom sings, but whoever does, they sure sing well. I'm glad you guys get to see such a great show, at such a historic place. Enjoy !!!

Thanks Bro. Curtis! Luckily my mom works for the Grand Ole Opry so she was able to give us a little bit of a discount! I love those discounts!!!

    That'll be a good show!

I saw Cherryholmes do a few songs last night while watching RFDTV. The Mom sang one, the daddy one and the youngest daughter (who 'bows' the fiddle with her left hand) sang "Sweet Hour of Prayer."
    They're pretty good.
