    A former moderator of this forum and a staunch defender of the truth has left this earth for glory. Chris Temple's bout with leukemia and other illnesses has ended. Let us thank God for his ministry among us, his friendship to those of us who called him a friend, and let us thank God for Jesus Christ, the savior Chris proclaimed from God's Word and loved with his life.

    Pray for his wife Roberta and family.

    Thanks for the update TomVols. This is sad and happy news indeed. Chris longed for his glorification in Christ, and our perfect Father has brought that to completion. Chris was a wonderful man, an example of Godliness, persistance in study, patience in instruction, willing for correction, a true example to us all, imaging forth the glory of Christ.

    We thank you Father, for the good works you brought forth in Chris, his life and his salvation which you worked through with your perfect wisdom and grace. We pray that you be with his wife and daughter, providing both their emotional and finacial means, until they go along and join Chris in paradise. In we pray this in the name of your perfect son Jesus.

    I knew Chris on the BB for only a short time, but he was always edifying and his voice has been missed — and will continue to be missed.

    God bless his family and his friends, for they are those who need comfort.

    Thanks for this information Tom.
    Now he is at rest.
    I think that he's carrying
    on the discussion with all those who
    have gone on to be with the Lord!

    Thoughts of Chris brought to mind this common tombstone inscription:

    A precious one from us is gone,
    A voice we loved is stilled;
    A place is vacant in our home,
    Which never can be filled.
    God in His wisdom has recalled,
    The boon His love has given;
    And though the body slumbers here
    The soul is safe in heaven.
