Apologetics basically means defense of the faith, or more specifically a systematic vindication of Biblical faith and doctrine. Christian apologetics and Baptist apologetics have in common the basic principles of the Christian faith, while Baptist apologetics also encompasses defending the peculiar doctrines of Baptists (e.g. baptism of believers by immersion, soul competency, church autonomy, etc.).
