Just did a little checking. This fellow is the typical anti-war, unlimited immigration,........type.

Isn't it interesting that most here regret the bombing of Dresden but make no mention of Germany's bombing of London. Not enough art in London to have sympathy for a free peoples peril.

Personally, I regret any bombing. Just because I don't mention every bombing that has ever taken place does not indicate a lack of sympathy on my part for anyone who hs\as suffered from being under a rain of bombs.

London did not suffer the devastation that Dresden, Tokyo, Hiroshima, and Nagasaki suffered.

London was not mentioned in the post I was responding to, but yes, it was a travesty also. Well, Hitler and his buddies were travesties.

Would Hitler have fire bombed London if he had had the capability. Probably, though for some reason he felt an affection for the British. Probably because of the empire they had created.

Vance complains that some Christians..."have an adoration toward President Bush that is unholy", which is nonsense, since I know of none who speak of him with holy reverence.

He rants on about those preachers who support Bush. But then Vance spends his time, both in this article and others, promoting another candidate. Much of his criticism then just boils down to political viewpoints that he disagrees with. I can read the same things on Huffington Post.

So basically this guy is a misinformation artist. Why pay any attention to him at all? Seems like a waste of time and energy to even respond to me.

Vance is an influential man. The original poster said that he wished the column "would get into the hands of our pastors".
    Just responding to that.

Doesn't seem like he'll be increasing that influence by calling the troops names. Any other points he may have made even if good will be tossed aside after all that. Maybe that's what he's all about though. Mixing the good with the bad so it will all be tossed out. Lot of that going on these days....isn't there?

It seems to me that most of the people you argue vehemently against on politics are merely upholding the freedoms our nation was founded on. America, love it or leave it is DIRECTLY against our treasured freedom of speech. In fact, those who don't support or constitutional rights should consider leaving themselves. This country has people in it that have a lot of different views. That USED to be our strength.

Free speech is only reserved for those who can recite all the "patriotic" mainstream talking points verbatim it would seem. Deviate beyond that and you are either a traitor, "nutjob" or some other type of vile creature not fit to live amongst the "holy".

I believe this sort of thinking is the product of what's known as mass conditioning.

Anyone that compares our troops to serial killers has no respect for the freedoms our troops have fought for.

You complain about my opinion that if someone doesn't love America, they should leave it...

but I do have a right to my opinion...
As much as these people who spit in the faces of our troops.

I guess there are some professing Christians who believe that following Christ means to love our enemies and some believe that following Him means to wage war against and kill them. Everyone must make up their mind about this but NOBODY has the right to distort the Bible's teachings or ridicule those who don't accept their belief. God will judge.

Yes you do. But...this guy is quite obviously writting this stuff to get the kind of attention and reaction you just gave him and he isn't worth getting an ulser over. The more people like this are given attention the more encouraged they become. That's my opinion.

One of the freedoms that our troops have fought for is to write the very things that the author wrote.

I for one do not agree with the troops "mission" because I believe the "war on teror" is a falsehood and cover for a less than honorable agenda on the part of a powerful global transnational "super elite".

The troops cannot be blamed for the misfortune of being duped by these selfish interests and performing the mission they were given by this "interest's" minions posing as our "leaders" to the best of their abilites.

Let's support our troops by defending them against being used as pawns by a gaggle of international central bankers, wall streeters and public-privateers who couldn't less about them for a change.

The guy has every constitutional right to express his opinions on the subject.

Just don't back them up with spittle. :(

There is no evidence that the author spit.
