Well he got my game. Of course we're all athiests coordinating attacks against this board to liberalize it and erode as many doctrinal truths as possible.

I might be worried about that if you had any knowledge of doctrinal truth. The only thing you've been able to discern is that this thread is referring to people like you.

Is that another lie by any chance? I very much doubt if you mean that Mike so I would suggest you stop taking God's name in vain.

I think we all need to step back and take a look at what's happening here. Are we or are we not brothers and sisters in Christ?

Some of the remarks being interchanged here are not edifying or uplifting in any stretch of the imagination. A house divided against itself will not stand. And, the way some of us read Scripture, we are called not just to be a house, but a BODY.

I suggest, however naive this may sound, that we agree to disagree, stop hurling attacks and insults at one another, and try to be understanding toward one another (also taking into account that we may never understand one another's viewpoint). Just my humble opinion. [IMG]

    Thanks Joshua,

Couldn't agree more. Sorry to anyone who has to read this childish behaviour. Sometimes its difficult not to respond in kind, but I know I must try harder to ignore the provocation that goes on around here.

    Pray for me,

    Enda

I would like nothing more than to fellowship under that assumption but it's rather difficult when I'm constantly being accused of sin by people who don't even know me. What's more it seems that the accusations of sin have been elevated to accusing me of not even being saved. What's even more, not only am I accused of not being saved, I'm blatantly being told that I'm here to erode doctrinal truths. It's very hard to consider someone who is constantly attacking you like that a brother or sister in Christ.

The problem is that although this is a debate forum for music, Enda prefers to focus on personal attacks rather than the issues. I've said this many times before but I'll say it again. I have no problem debating the nature of music civily, but don't attack my character and accuse me of sin if you aren't prepared to back up your assertions with Scripture.

Absolutely. I think we all get it that Enda and Aaron and others here despise certain styles of music, and want nothing more than to chastise those who listen to it. The fact is I don't care what they think. My conscience is clear before God on the matter.

If we all were to share the common goal of putting our differences aside and accepting that we hold different opinions, all that would have to end is the constant onslaught of accusations from Enda (and Aaron when he returns).

Well I know from my own experiences in this, Enda has never chastise me for listening to CCM. Nor has he ever accused me of not being Christian. Nor has Aaron ever done this.

Me and Aaron have disagreed on this music issue several times, but I could never say he is not a Christian, and would hope he does not say that about me.

Matter of fact...I agree with Aaron on many other issues.

We should be very careful in the name calling. It does not change the fact that some like CCM and some do not. But what the name calling does, says a lot about our own witness.

The reason I thought this was a great article was because I have seen this done on several messagesboards. Not just on a music forum. And it is very sad to me.

ON a messageboard all we have our words. We do not get to see the persons expressions, or facial features, or the tone of the post. So all we have is the other persons words.

And there are people who do deliberately do as that article says. It was funny that Enda posted it, as I was just talking to someone about this very thing, and then saw this post. Again thanks Enda....it was a good article!

    God Bless
