    What is Christmas like in Japan?
    Is there much local celebration of it?
    Their manufacturing must get a nice boost this time of year from the western world :)

    Japanese business men, not to be outdone, have made Christmas a major source of revenue! Christmas presents for the kids, Santa suits for parties, Japanese style Christmas pop CD's (some of it really strange), Christmas cake (a European custom), etc. And all of this by Buddhists!

    As for us, we are invited every year to a kindergarten to tell the true meaning of Christmas (last Thursday), and that is always a blessing. Then we had nice Christmas services on Sunday with a potluck meal, and a special Christmas Eve service last night. A special blessing was Mr. U., who came to Christ recently through divorce, bankruptcy and hepatitis C. He said he never realized what Christmas meant until he was forced to spend it alone the last couple of years, and he was so grateful to be with people!

    In Japanese we say,
    Merii Kurisumasu!

    You know what, the dude that played Santa at the kindergarten was maybe 5' 2"!! And he had an attitude! :laugh: :laugh:

    Merry Christmas Baptist Board!

    I just got done playing Santa, and I'm ready to hit the hay! I won't tell anybody not to eat too much, 'cause we all know Baptists love to eat. :laugh: I hope you all enjoy the day with your families! Remember :jesus: is the reason for the season!
