Sorry Marcia. I left that one out. Actually we have friends that do the same thing -- loads of holly around around the house, but no actual tree.

I'm very surprised by the number that don't do any decorations at all.

We tend to decorate our home every year. I took down our boxes of decorations (almost 20) and we began to decorate our home this past holiday weekend. We still need to do the outside lights though.

I said - put up a tree and that's all - but not exactly true!

The tree is about 18" tall - it's in our bedroom - and it's been there about three years - the ten cats would shred a tree if we had one in our living room.

Jan will put up a few things - on the walls - high enough that the cats won't bother them.

Our neighbors put up their annual Christmas decorations. A few years ago it was rated the #1 Christmas home in the US. Here are some key facts:

    750,000 lights
    1000 animated figures
    $4,500 additional electric bill costs
    2,000 feet of train tracks
    15 days to set up
over $450,000 raised for UM Women's Cancer Association

Here is their web site if you want to check it out: www.clotxmas.com

We finally got our tree put up this past Saturday, plus a few other decorations in and around the house. My kids really want to put lights up outside...i'm trying to convince them other wise.
