I found this while seaching the net.

Christopher Hitchens Author of "God Is Not Great: How Religion Poisons Everything"

    Review

    Discusses his book. (youtube.com)

I guess it's just fine to be bias and bigoted towards Christianity and to be a liberal elitist. But it's not fine to believe in God.

    Shameful...:saint:

Why is it shameful for an atheist to write a book about their views? It's called freedom of speech and the marketplace of ideas. Either Christianity is strong enough to stand against criticism or it isn't.

It's shameful for Hitchens to say he's against hate and then build his career from hatred and intolerance.

God is not mocked and Hitchens will reap what he sows. Freedom of speech or not.

Also, he's wasn't born here. America didn't need another atheist. He can go back home.

Oh, well. I doubt he has said anything new in the book. Anyone here read it?

If people didn't have the right to express views that we disagree with then neither would we be able to express our views or listen to the views of those we agree with.

Mr. Hitchens is home. He is a U.S. citizen.

Why should America treat him as one of their own? He left his country to become a citizen in another. America considers itself a Christian nation.

So, he couldn't bash Christianity in his country?

He should have tried to become a citizen in a middle eastern country. Than bash religion. The Muslims would have loved him.

The Muslims are already after Salman Rushdie. Why aren't they after Hitchens?

Most likely you have ancestors who did the same thing and that is why you are a U.S. citizen. Maybe we should send you back.

    Taken out of context.

He left his country to bash religion in a country that has "In God we trust" on their currency. Why didn't he go to a middle Eastern country? He's a coward.

My family can be traced to people that were here well before Columbus.
The original owners of this country. (Cherokee) So, this is my land.

There aren't two classes of citizens...native born or naturalized...all are equal. The only difference is a naturalized citizen cannot be POTUS under the Constitution.

    1) He has more courage than you do to swim against the stream as you see it.

    2) So you are a full-blooded Native American?

UM, Christians go against the norm.

I wish I was full-blooded. My family is still tracing our roots. We maybe have more native roots than we first thought.

Not every African is full-blooded either. But, they are still called African-American.

    1) Most Americans believe in God and are Christians, not atheists.

    2) So you do have ancestors who moved to this country from another country and became citizens, just like Mr. Hitchens has done.
