    Hello Fellow Baptist Board Members,
I am pastor at small SBC Church and I hope this is the correct forum for this post. I serve small SBC church in a very blighted area of our county. While our people do as much as possible there is just not a lot of income here to work with. We are pursuing a building program for our first church. I am looking for any info on any grants or experiences any of you have had with grants or grant writing .
We are moving ahead with a stewardship program and various fundraising activity's. We are receiving some help from the state convention and our local association but I am interested if anyone knows of any building grants or ministry support available outside the SBC, Florida Baptist Convention and my local association.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Pastor Greg Smith
    Flagler West Community Church

If you are talking about funding for church starts, it looks like you are already getting some from association and state...maybe you could even work towards the NAMB.

Many other Grants have to do with organizations that are working with special populations and you have to meet certain criteria based on individual grants....like homelessness, etc. but not specifically buildings without programming.

NAMB is getting away from funding various ministries, other than church planting.
