After I read this I almost fell out of my chair, thank you Lord for the mood change... Brother Glen:Roflmao:Roflmao:Roflmao:Roflmao

    Yep, when she turned around and almost shrieked "he hit me" it scared him and he jumped and grabbed my neck and buried his head in fear. Then, it was on. Dont mess with my kids!

    We were at a Christian rock concert. Bumping, hitting, jumping, and even the occasional mosh pit happen. Its not hymns at Sunday morning service.

    You must have thought that was poetic justice as you got quite a kick out of it?... Or did a angel (I didn't say what kind) cause the kid to spill the Coke?... Brother Glen:Roflmao:rolleyes:

    I honestly thought it was funny. Couldn't have happened to a nicer person.

    Yeah, it was. I must admit that in my backslidden days I went to quite a few Charlie Daniels and David Allen Coe concerts. At none of them, even factoring heavy alcohol consumption into the equation, did I run into anyone as mean spirited and bitter as this woman was. Give me the option of having to hang out with full patched Hells angels or her and I will choose the Angels in a heart beat. I have a lot of patience with people in general. But I have very little patience with bitter acting people.

    The modern term is Contemporary Christian music.

    Is there a "Christianized" version of heavy metal music?

    Most definitely... Well we all know what a Christian is... A concert, the formal definition is agreement, accordance, harmony... Now the only thing missing is the Rock... Add the Rock and you have a Christian Rock Concert... Let me explain

    My hope is built on nothing less
    Than Jesus’ blood and righteousness;
    I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
    But wholly lean on Jesus’ name.
    Refrain:
    On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand;
    All other ground is sinking sand,
    All other ground is sinking sand.

    That is definite Christian Rock... Anyone disagree?... Brother Glen:D

    There is Christian music that has heavy metal guitars in it. Music is neither Christian or secular, lyrics determine that.

    Yes, but it's really bad, both musically and (usually) theologically.

    Perhaps, but I have belonged to Baptist churches that were almost as bad.

    Baptist churches are definitely not immune from being unfriendly.

    But WHY are Baptist churches not necessarily friendly

    and is this a reason why many stop coming?
