Our church is going through a tough time and it is not with one group with the other. It actually has the women against the men, the boys against the girls, husbands against the wives.

The question is whether the women should start another church and who will lead it? A woman?

The split is over a very serious problem! :(

The men are Coke drinkers, and unfortunately the women are Pepsi drinkers!

What is a church to do? Where do you find soft drinks in the Bible? :D

SEE! Even my own wife, drinks the devil's brew. [IMG] :(

If she would get right, she would be a Coke drinker! :D

Now! I will devolge a secret about her! Ask her if she is faithful to Pepsi, only?

Do the right thing. Get a Pepsi machine for your church.

I am a Coke drinker. So it is not all women.

    But why not:

Buy your own soda machine and put half coke products in it and half pepsi products in it. After you purchase the soda's, then any profit you make go toward your local mission.

There is the concept of good taste, and this
concept is backed by intelligence. If you want
to impress your congregation and your visitors
with your good taste, The Olive Branch wins,
    hands down. Go with Pepsi!

In Esther 2:17, and they are BOTH wrong...
"And the king loved Esther above all the women, and she obtained grace and favour in his sight more than all the virgins; so that he set the royal crown upon her head, and made her queen instead of Vashti."

    Cynic,

I didn't even know that Royal Crown Cola (RC Cola) was still around.

But, the problem with your scripture backup that is Old Testament and we are a New Testament Church! LOL :D

And when they put it upon her head, was that an annointing? [IMG] Like with oil? [IMG]

    Saggy & Abiyah,
Thank-you for your stand in this atrocity. To think I have been married to this heretic for so long. [IMG]

    Granny
I will not say anything against the Lord's annointed. ;) :D

All jesting aside, he does drink my Pepsi when he runs out of coke, but I will not, even in desperation, drink a Coke. Cherry Coke is not in this post, Justified.

ooooooh, I LOVE Cherry Cokes! [IMG] I usta love the short bottles of Coca~Cola when they were a nickel; then Pepsi came out with a swirl-bottle & I switched(my honey LOVES Pepsi!); but my dear grandma loved RC, so I drank with her...until they invented TAB!

So, yes, I will take whatever is offered to me, preferrably sweet-tea now; but when it comes to my KJBible-I will NOT use anything else! There is NO compromising there! :D

I'm not a big soda drinker, especially of the dark colored ones, but when it comes to pepsi or coke I'll take the pepsi, anyhow the coke drinkers are supporting the mormons.

As someone who perfers Root Beer, I may not be qualified to answer here. My wife on the other hand won't touch a Pepsi with a 50 foot pole. She must have COKE, it must be the REAL THING, she will not touch an imitation, she dosn't want cherry or vanilla in it, she dosn't want diet or diet with lemon. For her COKE isn't just the REAL THING its the ONLY THING.

Youguys are ALL too cute! Welll,, I just made a
gallon of southern iced tea, and it is sprouting
condensation in my fridge right now. Granny
Gumbo, Farmer's Wife, Olive Branch, and any-
one else who loves it, come on over. I have
some cold Pepsi in there, too, but you won't
find ANY Coke products or memorabilia in
    Any House of Mine.

I love you Coke people, too, but you'll have to
take tea, Pepsi, or water. 8oD

I like Diet Rite myself. It is the diet brand made by RC(unlike most diet drinks, it doesn't contain Aspartane--aka Nutrasweet)

I hear ya, Abiyah, & I'm on my way with my big ol'drinkin'jar ~ [IMG]

Say, how's the weather there? When I was a little girl, we lived in Issaquah & Lacey, & it rained all the time(which I loved!) It's finally rained here some, but that means it'll be steamy later & them bad 'skeeters are tearing us up!

Hi, GrannyGumbo! It is HOT! It got up to 90,
is supposed to do the same today, but the
thermometer on my porch, which was in the
shade, said it was 100 there. It is humid, too.
I am burning up (and complaining) when it hits
73, though. In the winter, I even like to set the
thermostat so that it never gets above 68 F.

I don't know how I made it for 3.5 years in
Mississipppi or for 5 years in St. Louis!

I don't know about you guys, but it was 104 yesterday, 100 day before, and a nice ice cold Coke was the salvation of my thirst! :D
