"Peace activist Cindy Sheehan and three other women were convicted of trespassing Monday...sentenced them immediately to conditional discharge, which means they could face some form of penalty if they are arrested in the next six months..." SOURCE

Excuse me while I laugh

O, that was rude...I should really know better :saint:

It's OK to laugh. It was only a slap on the wrist and more press coverage for that nutcase.

She's probably laughing harder than anyone.

Why do you believe her to be a "nutcase" exactly?

For me, it was her "Occupied New Orleans" comment.

She's a few short of a full deck.

==Since she has trouble staying out of trouble, and obeying the law, I doubt she will be able to stay out of trouble for the next six months. Thus I suppose it is safe to say that she will be laughing from inside a jail very soon. Well, I doubt she will be laughing.

Cindy Sheehan is addicted to publicity, and she will do anything to get it!

She's addicted to focussing attention upon an unjust war that killed her son, thousands of other Americans, and hundreds of thousands of Iraqi's.

Same site earlier in the week:

They were charged with interfering with a government function after they blocked the gate and ignored orders to move, he said. Before she was arrested, she joined the protesters in hailing the outcome of Tuesday’s elections and chanting “Stop the War” outside the gate.
    ....

The petitions opposed use of military force to resolve
the dispute over Iran’s nuclear program.

So the petetion had little to do with the Iraqi Freedom Fight
    that our country supports.
It had to do with a fight we aren't even in yet.

Anyway, this news was better than the ChickenGate
    stories going about last weekend.

Funny thing, I never hear, or read her mentioning Casey's name.

==Thats true, I think she is way beyond any of that. She would be doing what she is doing even "if" the war in Iraq was over (etc). I think this is now about her trying to keep herself in the news. After all, if she goes home, she has to face the hard realities she has so far avoided. Keeping busy after a personal tragedy can be helpful but it can also do emotional damage. The longer it takes her to wake up and realize that the anti-war left is simply using her, the harder it will be for her to make a full emotional recovery when this is all over (and, make no mistake about it, it will end).
