Sen. Clinton won the Democratic nomination for her seat for 2006.
[quote]...The senator did not mention higher aspirations today, but she did lash out at the Bush administration with calls for "a fundamentally new direction" for the country.

And she blasted the Republican leadership of Congress for creating the impression that "it is more important to say `mission accomplished' than actually accomplishing the mission." She says, with hard work, Democrats can take back the country.

Let's start with Illegal Immigration: What is her stance on this issue and how is it different from the idiotic amnesty President Bush is offering? That would be a great place for Hillary and the Democrats to start. They need to, however, give more than empty rhetoric and actually do something positive.

I seriously doubt any NY State politician, Democrat or Republican, is going to come out strongly against illegal immigration - too many families of same vote here.

Whatever it is now, you can count on it being something else during her campaign for President and something else again if she were to be elected.

You don't have any specific, reality-based criticism, but since you can't resist saying something nasty, you sling generic garbage.

    Watch and see.

She's the real article. Tell any lie. Make any promise. Whatever it takes to be elected.

She has a mean viscious streak her husband never had. She's vindictive, the truth is not in her, and she's nasty to subordinates.

All this from people who know her well and have worked with her or been around her a lot.

You should get out and about more , Daisy.

    Hillary is genuine.

She is a genuine liberal and relativist. I have little doubt that she would lie, cheat, steal, or kill to become President... for our good of course since she thinks she knows better what is good for us than we do. She is an elitist leftist.

She was probably always Bill's idealist. In saving Bill's presidency, Dick Morris was often at odds with Hillary and detests her to this day... and likes Clinton.

If Hillary is ever elected President, it will violate the spirit of the Amendment establishing a term limit... she has already been President for 8 years.

In one way, it would be great to see her become President. It would probably destroy the Democratic party or at least separate it from the liberal stranglehold.

    Hillary

To get insight into the real Hillary, you should read "Hell To Pay" by Barbara Olson. She was on the plane that hit the Pentagon on 9-11. Sadly, one of Hillary's defining liberal influences was her youth pastor.

Yeah right, carpro. Can you vague up those accusations some more?

The wonderful thing about nonspecific nastiness from unnamed sources is that it can't be refuted. Fling the poop and see what sticks, eh? That's a vicious, disreputable, all too common tactic.

The Fox shill had a clear partisan agenda. The picture chosen for the cover  says more about the author, editor and publisher than it does the subject. She was working on her sequel The Final Days: The Last, Desperate Abuses of Power by the Clinton White House when she was murdered - again the title sounds more like a vindictive diatribe than a serious study. Do you have a source that even pretends to be unbiased?

I'm not a fan of Sen Clinton, but these attacks are vicious, unwarranted and personal.

    Hillary

There is no one in the world who is unbiased. Every one has an agenda or preconceived notions.

    Hillary

And I'm not attacking her. I'm just saying I don't like her or her politics. Why is it that if you disagree with someone, it's an attack?

Hillary lovers are very touchy about criticism.

There's too much truth in it to suit them.

    You're just baiting

The problem with your "criticism" of her is that it is all empty of substance and totally generic - you're spouting truthiness, not truth.

There are plenty of real issues that you could bring up, but it's obvious you are interested in real issues

Use your head, Daisy. It's a political truth that democrats , and not just Hillary, have to change their positions on key issues to be elected to national office.

They have to be liberal enough to appeal the the radical fringe groups that control the democrat party to be nominated and then they have to move drastically to the center to be elected.

Hillary knows this, and will shift positions whenever the need arises to accomplish her objective. Iraq, right now, is a major problem for her. She's hoping it will resolve itself by 2008.

Political realities and necessity do not change her basic character, or lack of it, which I have already accurately described.

Just who do you think you are to tell anyone to use their head, carpro? How about a little less antagonistic baiting?

US Senator is a national office which she already holds.

These are things you imagine yet you speak as if you know what she is thinking or what she will do. Are you a mind-reading prophet now?

You've made vague, totally unsupported Rushesque insults about her character. The more you hate on her, the more inclined I am to support her.

I have no idea what she intends to do beyond winning her current seat. I think she can be a fine senator and statesman. I hope she doesn't throw it away on a presidential bid.
