Considering the facts that the Great Commission was given to the church to teach and the the gift of teaching was given to the church, where is the Scriptural grounds for having a college independent of a local church?

I am concern also about too much emphasis being placed on the size of the college when our Lord started with 12 choosing one at a time. The Apostle Paul trained men in small numbers.

Another concern that has been programed in the minds of individuals that a college must be accredited. This is emphasized over the approval of God and the Commission of our Lord. Also knowing some of our larger colleges are not accredited, but are accepted because of size.

Our visions are more for large numbers and more money than for just simply indoctrinate young men for the ministry.
