    WELCOME ONE AND ALL TO...

    NUMBER

    [IMG][IMG][IMG]

    COMMON GROUND COFFEE HOUSE!

The only "RULE" here is NO fussin' - NO fightin' - NO feudin'!

I will try to be here to serve you; but if not, feel free to help yourself.

First one in every morning puts the coffee and tea on, last one out at night turns the lights off...

We serve donuts, cinnamon toast (dry toast available upon request), crumpets, bagels, scones, croissants, brioche rolls, donuts, yogurt, salads, light lunches, popsicles, ice cream, homemade cookies, homemade cakes, homemade pies, and homemade jams.

We also serve coffee (with/without caffeine), hot chocolate, hot tea, iced tea, fresh squeezed lemonade and orange juice, cappuccino, Mountain Dew, DP, DDP, Coke, Pepsi, Diet Sierra Mist, milk, milk shakes, Kool-Aid, and Carb Options.

If you don't see your drink or food of choice...just ask, we will do our best to stock it for you!

Our aim is to please...come and sit a spell, enjoy the fellowship and come back often!

As Christians, we are ALL on common ground...

The very first Coffee House came into being on 04-08-2003. We have had a lot of people come and go. Thank you to all the CH 'family' for your continued support.

    LET'S PARTYYYYYYYYYYYY!

WOW! We made it to 100!! Congrats to all of us here at the Coffee House.

And congrats to Jim for being the first one (besides Sue, of course). We know you like to party, Jim!

MK, Bitsy and Friend of God, you were all talking about migraines--I went to the doctor a couple of months ago with a migraine. Couldn't see my regular doc--he was on vacation. The new doc asked me if I ate much Equal, and I said yes. He said it could cause migraines, to go off Equal and see how I felt. So I tried it, and presto, only had a couple of tiny migraines in the last couple of months. That's a big improvement for me! Have you all heard of Equal causing migraines? I had never heard it.

I have made scones, devonshire cream and homemade strawberry jam for our party. Does anyone love scones as much as I do? They are my favorite treat.:love2:

Tomorrow is Don's birthday. We are having a little family celebration. Nothing fancy, tho. We're having German Chocolate Cake--his favorite. I have made one every year for 24 years.

    See you all later!

Gwen, artificial sweetners (both equal and sweet & low) are on Chris' list of triggers but they don't bother Cassie.

Splenda doesn't bother either of them.

Have you tried Stevia? I don't really like it. So, now I use Splenda. It's OK--I'm getting used to it.

Half eleven! Some party! Stevia on the menu............and I thought I was the party stinker....

Hello everyone. It is Hay Day to-day in Tamworth. Just a social day for all the citizens and visitors around here. There are all kinds of events planned for the wee ones, outdoor cookeries and such. There are large bales of hay all over the place, decorated ad some in shapes of wagons, etc. It is nice to see a community come together, not to raise money or even make money, but just for fellowship. The football pitch will have games all day, as will the softball diamond.

Wishing everyone well to-day, and God's richest blessings.

    Cheers,

    Jim

    Good morning all,

The camp-out was canceled because of expected storms so I am taking Brent fishing this morning. I just know that we're going to catch 'gobs' of fish!

Anyway, I thought we could use them for a fish fry later today here at the CH to add to the festivities on our Centennial Day.

I'm gonna peek at MK's french toast and have some coffee.

Gotta get my fishing hat on and go dig worms,

    Morning!

Rained last night, but sun is trying to come out this AM. How exciting :D

I got up and worked on school stuff before I meandered over here, so I ate my yogurt while I was printing. Sure smells good though!

Has anyone seen my little blue duster? I've misplaced it! Hollar if you notice it laying around anywhere.

I found the duster! I know everyone is so relieved

Gwen -- I've cut out all kinds of stuff for my migraines and each one has helped. I went gluten free a year ago and that has helped the most although it is extremely limiting and it also meant I had to give up Chinese food. But a limited diet is worth fewer migraines! (Does mean I can't have any 100 CH cake though. *sigh*)

Weather also will set them off -- a week of storms like we've had or a hurricane coming in and I'll get one every time!

    Now, off to dust!

Hey all! How's the party coming along? I'm bringing ham and potato salad for supper!

Brent caught one stick and a snapping turtle. Needless to say, we didn't keep either one.

I just got home and Grandpa took over. They went to a lake, instead of a creek, to see if Brent would have better luck.

I'm going to snooze while the ham is baking.

See ya at suppertime! (Hope someone is bringing some side-dishes and some dessert). Yummmmmmmmmm...

    Howdy everyone!

The kids had thier karate tests this morning. Chris tested with a migraine. :( It was forwarning....

Cause two minutes after testing finished, the bottom dropped out of clouds. Had lightning all around, bad enough to knock the power out on the main drag for a few minutes, and enough rain in 10 minutes flat to flood every low spot in between there and my house. There was water in places that never hold water.

Got home and my dogs were soaked and my screen gazebo was sunk in in the middle. I hope I can fix it. For now though I just snatched off the roof and left the bare bones. The dogs are drying out in the garage. LOL, they could have easily escaped cause I didn't realize the garage door was open when I sent in. It's raining so hard, they didn't even try! Poor things! Hammer of course thought he should be special and dry out in the house. I didn't agree though. Wet dogs don't smell pretty.

Sue, how about corn on the cob, fried okra, and some sliced tomatos and onions? I could be persuaded to make a batch of fudge for dessert.....
