The only "RULE" here is NO fussin' - NO fightin' - NO feudin'!

I will try to be here to serve you; but if not, feel free to help yourself.

First one in every morning puts the coffee and tea on, last one out at night turns the lights off...

We serve donuts, cinnamon toast (dry toast available upon request), crumpets, bagels, scones, croissants, brioche rolls, donuts, yogurt, salads, light lunches, popsicles, ice cream, homemade cookies, homemade cakes, homemade pies, and homemade jams.

We also serve coffee (with/without caffeine), hot chocolate, hot tea, iced tea, fresh squeezed lemonade and orange juice, cappuccino, Mountain Dew, DP, DDP, Coke, Pepsi, Diet Sierra Mist, milk, milk shakes, Kool-Aid, and Carb Options.

If you don't see your drink or food of choice...just ask, we will do our best to stock it for you!

Our aim is to please...come and sit a spell, enjoy the fellowship and come back often!

As Christians, we are ALL on common ground...

    Good morning all!

I have a busy day planned today so I need to get started early!

We are expecting rain so I will be staying in anyway. I might as well clean the basement...

    Morning Everybody,

Whenever anybody asks if our house is clean I always reply...It was clean last week - You missed it.

Today I brought in omelets. One omelet consists of four eggs, salt, pepper, one Tbsp. tarragon butter, two Tbsp. cream, one-half tsp. minced shallots, one third cup whole almonds, and twenty fresh mushrooms. I've also been known to fold in some apricot jam at the last minute. There also is Georgia Country Ham, hot bisquits and homemade preserves. Enjoy.

The rest of today is housework, laundry, doing dishes, and making Sweet Potato Crisp and Roasted Green Beans with Peppers and Onions for the monthly Small Group Potluck tonight. I do so much better when I'm not rushed..or forgetful. Then I've got to go get some fresh green beans, and sweet potatoes.

    Time to go to work.

    Good Morning Everyone!

Yesterday I was busy, busy and didn't get to post. Today will be slower. Kind of an enforced slowdown as my back is out again. Grrr! This time it's up between my shoulder blades and hurts to breathe. But, advil and muscle relaxers are wonderful things, so I have partaken and can at least breath now. I may actually have to go to the doc and get some x-rays if it keeps up though. This is a new place and would make bad disc number 5 if I'm right about what's causing the trouble. That does not make me happy!

Oh well, I have better things to do than worry about what might be happening. Chris still has his migraine, so he is on today's list to go get a shot. I have perscriptions to get filled, a school to call, teachers to meet and meet with, a kitchen to clean, banana bread to make (hopefully) and sewing to do. Think I'll go ahead and call the school. They deserve to hear from me first thing this morning. :D

I wonder just how it is I have so much energy and feel so like doing things and still be in so much pain. It's aggravating me to death. If I'm going to be in pain, the least I could is feel bad along with it so I wouldn't want to stuff! I'm not even in a bad mood this morning. (well, someone in this house has to be in a good mood!)

Oh well, off to see how much trouble I can get into.

Good morning - GREAT omlettes, FoG!!

Today is going to be a quiet day around here. Joanna (3) is still dealing with her cold (day 4 now) so she's home from preschool again and Robby (5) woke up with a sore throat and runny nose. I'm going to do light homeschooling with him - I don't want to push him too much today. It's OK if we do a 1/2 day today and a 1/2 day tomorrow. I'm keeping them on lots of fluids and vitamin C and hope they get better fast!

Since I don't have to do so much homeschooling, I'm going to make up a batch of pumpkin muffins that I hear are wonderful - I'll let you all know!

I have to say, I'm such a homebody that I LOVE days like this! It's cool (in the 50's this morning), I have candles burning and I don't have to go anywhere! Yeah!!

    Good Afternoon, all!

Do y'all ever wonder how socks can vanish so quickly? Had to buy another package for Rachel this week. Will have to gt her some shirts before Saturday, too. We've been given lots of girl clothes lately (for which I am Very Thankful!) with plenty of bottoms, but no tops. So I getto go to Wally World tomorrow or Friday morning. (If I want to go by myself.)

From the way so many young girls to-day, maybe they are cutting the bottoms off and pulling to sock down to the belly as a top...:saint:

If this was in my house, we have one dog that steals sock and exchanges them for a dog biscuit. He even goes to the closet door where the biscuits are stored........Here Shadow! Fetch those socks back..........

    Cheers,

    Jim

Gayla: Didn't your mother ever tell you that the dryer chews up one sock from each pair and spits it out as lint?

All my socks are either black or white. It is easier to match a pair.......most times.........

    Good morning all,

It is cool here this morning with an expected high of 62º. Rain is forecast for the weekend.

Brent had to miss his Spanish lesson yesterday afternoon and I stayed home from church with him last night. He slept with the vaporizer in his room and I put Vicks on his chest and stuffed him with Vitamin C. This is the first cold he's had in the three years he's been with me.

I am hoping it doesn't cause a bad Asthma attack. That always requires a run to the emergency room. He just laid on the couch all day yesterday and he NEVER does that! I'm praying he feels better this morning.

I'm going to make some oatmeal, toast and orange juice for breakfast before I wake him up.

    HAGD!

    Good Morning Everybody,

Sue, I'm praying for you and Brent right now.:praying:

Sean has come down with a virus, and had trouble breathing. We took him to the hospital, and they transferred him to U of M hospital in Ann Arbor as a precaution.(They were afraid that one of his shunts might've been clogged-it wasn't). They kept him about two hours then discharged him. He's back home, and medicated for his virus.

I brought in Skillet Sausage with Potatoes and Rosemary, Rise and Shine Sausage Oatmeal Cups, and Mini-Sticky Pecan Buns. And for Jim I brought in Toad in the Hole Bake, English Muffins with Sugar-Free Marmalade, and English Breakfast Tea. Enjoy everybody.

I'm trying to show the "Southern Folks" in the Pit Stop that a "Yankee" can prepare a "Southern Meal." I'm making Farmhouse Chicken Dinner, Bisquits, Sweet Potato Bake, and Banana Pudding Squares for dinner tonight. blackbird has signed up and given his approval of the menu. The rest of our Southern cousins probably think all I can do is make instant coffee:BangHead: . I'll see if I can change their minds.

I've got to get started on laundry, dishes, housecleaning, etc.

I have NO clue about any of that southern stuff. I'm a New Yorker through and through so anything outside of this area, I'm not on it. BUT, we DO have awesome pastrami sandwiches, bagels, pizza and White Castle (totally an aquired taste). LOL!

Today will just be homeschooling, I'm going horseback riding when the teens get home from school and then it's open house at the high school at 7 so DH and I can meet the girls' teachers. I get the honor of meeting Nicole's Earth Science teacher who she's had some discussions with during class about evolution. Should be interesting! She's been respectful but has brought up some great arguments against evolution. The teacher even wants to see her text books from the last 2 years! LOL!!

    Ann,
I LOVE :love2: White Castles!!!, or sliders as we call them. Our only White Castle closed early this year, they're looking for a bigger building.

Man, I wish they'd hurry I'm going into withdrawal.

You can't beat a NY Hot Pastrami Sandwich. With Sliders, and NY Hot Pastrami Sandwiches I could eat 24/7.

Another name for them is belly bombs. LOL!! I LOVE them but hate that I taste them for the next 2 days - it gets kind of old. But a big Coke, an order of onion rings and 4 burgers and I'm set. AHHHHH!!!!

I don't know if you can get them by you but we can get them frozen in the grocery store. They're not as good as fresh but they are pretty good!

    White Castles Forever

I've got 6 pkgs. in my freezer right now. You're right, they're not as good as hot n' fresh, but they're better then nothing.
I'll have to keep refilling my freezer with them until they find a new building.
