    Which would you prefer, Ann?

Grilled Scallops and Vegetables with Cilantro Sauce or
Roasted Salmon with Strawberry-Orange Salsa, or
Southern Crab Cakes with Remoulade Dipping Sauce ?

Whatever you pick, I'll e-mail to you.

Get a deal on seafood, Rob? What Ann doesn't want I'll take!

    Hey everyone!

I'm tired. I'd tell you everything I've done today but it would make you tired to read it, so I'll just hit the highlights: Karate testing and basketball pics! How both managed to be on the same day is beyond me.

I had made arrangements beforehand for Jenna and I to test first, but that threw everyone else's testings off a bit. (including T's and Chris') As soon as we finished there and were dismissed, it was off to Jenna's game with team pics to be taken just before. Then, I had to leave her and go back to karate cause I left T without a car! I just missed getting to see T test. Then I brought T and Chris home to change out of their uniform and we went back to Jenna's game! All this before 12:30.

And so it has gone......Supper? If the meat thaws!

Ann, it's good to see that you have done so well! Already time to lose the cast is great! You're lucky to heal so fast.

Okay, I gotta go see if Chris even got the meat out of the deep freeze or we may be eating at midnight!

    Good morning all,

It is a VERY frigid right now with windchills dipping to -15º! [IMG]

I will be staying home today and Brent will be taking the bus to and from church. He does anyway, whether I go or not, because he is a bus 'runner'. He goes up to the door and leads the kids back to the bus. He wants to be a bus 'captain' someday.

Pastor Bob needs a day of rest! He preached in GA Friday, made a fast trip to IL for a funeral yesterday, and had to drive all night to get to another preaching engagement in KS this morning. It was good to see all of them, even if it was only for an hour or so!

I have an appointment with the 'vertigo' specialist tomorrow morning. I'm not sure what to tell him. Some days I'm dizzy, and some days I'm not. [IMG]

I think Cream of Wheat, toast, apple juice and hot chocolate will taste good this morning and it will warm the 'innards'!

    HAGD!

Sunday evening -- don't know how he did it, but just walking toward me in the great room, Barry must have stepped wrong and pulled something in his knee. He can barely walk and is sound asleep in bed now at 7:45 p.m. I'm supposed to be the one with the bad knees! But watching him react with shock to the pain, and I knew exactly how he was feeling. I hope it's better by morning. Or at least mostly better.

I'll finish dishes and get Chris to bed and then get to bed early myself. Sweet dreams, all.

    Good morning all,

It is 14º this morning, with no warming spell in sight.

I slept in, so now I have to hurry, take a shower, wash and blow-dry my hair, get Brent up, fix breakfast, pack his lunch, drive him to school, stop by Krogers and pick up some groceries, and be at the specialists by 9:15.

I'll pop back in after the doctor's appointment.

    CYAL,

Urk, I think I would die in such a cold place Sue......you have to wear more than a cardi......michelin man!

It is still very muggy here at 2300hrs....around 83F I think...puff some cold air my way and I shall huff some heat up to you. Dived into the shower which was almost cold , discovered I was showering with a gecko, made me jump but they are cute little lizards. Just tossed down 2 lemon soda waters.....

    Stay warm and healthy folks:praying:

    Good morning everyone!

Sue, we're headed to the doc ourselves today. The kids have a neuro appointment, so all the way to B'ham we go!

I have a feeling I'm going to end up at the doc myself before long. Chris gave me his gunk and my ears are all stopped up and when I turn my head a certain way I can hear a crackle that I know is from my sinuses. Bleck! I don't really feel bad, so I'm trying to wait it out.

Thanks for the scallops, cuz! I loooovvvve scallops!

    Ya'll have a good day!

    Good Morning Everybody,

Hmmm all that activity for Sue and not one mention of dizziness. Either she forgot to mention it in her haste, or it is gone. Hope it's gone never to return.

We are at 11 degrees here with a cold wind[ duh what other kind would we have at 11 degrees?] :tonofbricks:

Glad you liked the scallops MK. If you lived closer to "God's Country" I'd deliver 'em to you.

I brought in Sausage Scramble, Oven Breakfast Hash, and Sausage and Cheese Potato Casserole to help warm everybody. Coffee, Hot Chocolate, and Water for Tea are on the counter. Enjoy.

Fortunately we don't have to venture out in the cold today. I've got enough chores to keep me busy.

    Isn't it funny how chores aren't "self-starters?"

Wow - it's a doctor day around here, huh? Today I go to get this cast off!!! Yeah!!!!!!!! I SO cannot wait and today will go entirely too slowly - my appointment is at 4 pm.

So yesterday at church, we had an awesome time. Pastor is teaching through Romans and we're at Romans 1:19-20 (we started Romans in October - it's going to take years to finish this!). So he taught on evolution. He had mentioned that last week and I had a great DVD in my car (I had loaned it to someone teaching about evolution in the night classes in our school district) so I gave it to him. Well, once he saw it, he wanted the entire church to see it. We showed it last night and what a great response we had!! What was really great was to watch the video, then we did worship afterwards - singing "God of Wonders", "Indescribable" then finishing out with "How Great is Our God". I tell you, after seeing the complexity of proteins, how DNA creates proteins and the complexity of a bacterium's flagellum, worshipping God was the only thing you WANTED to do!!!! It was also great because Bob has not been able to lead worship in a while and he has been craving it - and last night's worship was SO great - not because of the team or anything but because of our hearts at that point - it was true worship - not just singing.

So we had a great weekend and now Bob is away with the pastors on their planning retreat. I pray that they hear from God during this time to lead our church where HE wants us to go.

Actually, FoG, she won't be clapping for awhile if she had an actual incision. I had my right hand done last July and I am STILL wary of shaking hands with men, because some of them squeeze so tight! I can hardly see the scar now, but it is still sensitive. Clapping is still not on my list of favorite things to do!

Forgot to turn on the barn water last night...PRAYING no burst pipes. We're at 26 degrees right now, but it was over 50 yesterday, and three heat lamps are on in the barn, so I think we'll be OK. I'll find out in a little bit...

Thank you for the two PM's from two of you about Barry. He is still asleep but got up for the bathroom about five and was able to walk a little. We'll put his knee in an Ace bandage today for extra support. I think he just pulled a ligament.

Bill-paying day.....and that says enough about that!

Let us know how it looks and feels, Annsni! You have done so much better than I did at first I am hoping it will continue that way for you.

MK -- praying your kids are recovering and you have not yet lost your mind...

Sue -- let us know how it goes at the doctor's. I'm worried about you!

As a recovering Carpal-Tunnel surgical patient I'd say you're "perfectly cast."

I'm home and cast-less. I almost passed out when the stitches came out- I have no clue why!! Weird. What's frustrating to me,though, is that I STILL can't get this wet for another 10 days - I was so hoping to be able to take a good shower tonight! :( But all looks good - I have my cheapie brace on tonight - have to pick up the good one tomorrw because they had no extra smalls in stock. My wrist feels weird and weak - and my fingers are just not listening to me telling them to type. LOL. I can't seem to use my right thumb to hit the space bar - I just don't seem to be able to tell it to do it. But I'm able to use my hand as much as I want to get the strength back - all except doing dishes. LOL!! Oh, and part of the incision still looks open but I know that will heal - I had the same thing with my c-section incision (actually way worse),and that healed fine.

So, I'm getting back to normal!!! I even filled out the insurance form at the place where I'm getting the brace - using my right hand! And Helen - you're right - I'm not going to be clapping for a while. LOL!!

So, anyone want to see the incision?? I took a pic! LOL- well, you'd have to wait - Bob has to put it on the computer since I have no clue how to do it.
